A cozy nostalgic farm campsite... Enjoying farm life as it used to be.
Located in the polder, next to the Amstel and 10 kilometers from bustling Amsterdam.
With us you can still enjoy the peace and space and a beautiful view over the polder. In the morning the cows walk past the campsite and in the evening you can make a campfire or throw a ball on the jeu de boules court.
The cozy village (Ouderkerk a/d Amstel) with various shops is a few kilometers away by bike or boat.
You can reserve a tent pitch, these pitches are without power supply.
For the easy camper we have 2 furnished tents.
The vintage furnished tents are equipped with a fixed double bed and a cozy sitting area. The bed is made, but bring your own towels. There is also a covered outdoor kitchen with a skottel braai and gas comfort and pots and pans to cook your own food.
You can also rent the flower-power caravan. A real Rapido caravan from the seventies, equipped with all comforts.
New this summer is the tiny house, completely off-grid, equipped with a solar panel, compost toilet, outdoor shower and wood stove to warm the house and to cook on.
If desired, it is possible to use the facilities at the campsite.
It is also possible to order a fresh farmer's breakfast for €12.50 pp.
We rent bicycles and a real water bike to explore the Amstel.
The campsite is not accessible by public transport.

Beautiful location, a bit difficult to reach without a car as the bus stop was further away than expected, but the hosts are wonderful. Very easy to rent a bike and the route to Amsterdam is car-free and very pretty.

Very welcoming, friendly and available.
Tips for new guests?
Plan ahead if you want to go to Amsterdam center daily and don't have a car.

We had great days with our daughter (1 year old) on Nicole and her husband's beautiful farm. We could always visit the sheep, chickens and cows and swim in the Amstel.
The shower and toilet were always very clean!

A nice campspace if you want to enjoy a quiet base close to Amsterdam. Nicole and Kees have set up a small campsite next to their farm suitable for campers, small tents and where you can also stay and set up glamping tents. Great if you don't want to take your extensive camping set with you.
The glamping tents are furnished with cozy vintage furniture. This makes the tent very cozy and inviting. Next to the tent you will find an outdoor kitchen where you can bake an egg fresh from the chickens on the land.
Nicole is very welcoming and it is clear that she manages the campspace with care. The campsite is well maintained and equipped with all basic amenities.
For people who do not have a car, we took the train to Amsterdam-South, from here it is about 30 to 40 minutes by bike by public transport. You can cycle most of the route along the Amstel, which is a very beautiful part.
How was the contact with the host?
The contact was very good. Nicole responds quickly and is helpful.
Tips for new guests?
Ask Nicole if you can take a look at the farm and learn about what life is like as a milk farmer. Who knows your luck and there are little calves.

Quietly located (except for air traffic) in a special small-scale polder environment and Amsterdam in the vicinity.
Larger Campspace than I prefer to use. Due to the open layout of the site (open field, no natural-looking vegetation that gives the impression of being in nature, but all other campers (caravans in particular) in the picture. I think that could be arranged more finely/ planted.
Good sanitary facilities (toilet, washing, showering, washing up). Also covered space available. I have not found an organized place for charging the phone (you just have to put it next to the washbasins). Well usable water tap for my water bag, but clumsy spout for filling bottles. It would be nicer to have water taps on the site itself rather than just on the edge.
In short, good Campspace with opportunities for improvement.
In better weather (unfortunately I had a lot of rain and wind) I may come again (longer).
How was the contact with the host?
Good, business, contact
Tips for new guests?
Take special water bags (with a large filling opening) with you and make sure you can shield yourself against wind and for privacy.

Very nice environment. Neat toilets and showers. Unfortunately, there were few children for entertainment during this period. The tour and explanation about farm life is a must and enjoy. Unfortunately we didn't have enough cooling space with the tent because people take food for a week. So changing a cool box and icepacs is handy. Because the freezer is not full.
How was the contact with the host?
Very good. She explains everything well and is there or someone else if you have any questions. She is clear.
Tips for new guests?
Bring a cool box... because it is a beautiful route where many cyclists get stranded. So little space for food in the fridge.
