Last night I stayed in the garden of a family in Drouwenerveen in Drenthe, the Netherlands. The host is a family who own the house and the big garden that is behind the house. They have made a place where you can put up your tent. The view is beautiful. On one side you are looking at a wide field. At the other side you look into a small forest where you also can walk through. On their terrain they have a few chickens walking around. In the surrounding you also see a lot of hares and pheasants. In the morning you are waken up by the sound of a lot of birds. I also got surprised with fog what made the forest very mystical. In the area you can find a lot of nice small towns and biking and hiking routes. Beside all this they also use other sources then gaz to provide for warm water.

If you like peace and quietness then it’s camping spot would be perfect! We were alone and we had a stunning view. What was nice was that you could make a fire in a fire bowl from the Host, we could even gather wood at the campsite. Furthermore, excellent toilet and shower. Welcoming Host, very nice but quickly gave us the space to be alone I would definitely recommend this campsite!
No Litter, No Noise, just sing a song at the campfire.
