Your host, Camilla

Hi, I am Mills and I own an acre of land that I've transformed into a wonderful garden and allotment. I am a chef by trade and I grow lots of vegetables, salad leaves and herbs, some soft fruits too. I also have a flock of woodland hens that mostly roost in the trees but give me lovely eggs. Touts Station Garden sits alongside a disused railway line and adjacent to the River Yeo, nestled in the valley just below Exmoor National Park.
I offer my space for small events, weddings and other functions and also offer a full/half board bamping/glamping service. The idea is as a group of upto 12 friends, you can have the place to yourselves, exclusive to you. There'll be no-one else here, ie, no other paying guests. I have two 5m bell tents and a 23' touring caravan that sleeps 4, 1 king size, 1 small double. This also has a small woodburner. There are composting loo's and hot shower, and a fire bowl to sit around. . I live on site in a timber framed cabin, and I am here to cook you breakfast and dinner should you require this service. Otherwise there is a well equipped camp kitchen with gas hob, sink, worktops, big cool box and a large table undercover to seat you all at. You can explore North Devons coastline and Exmoor during the day. Or if you would rather, just stay put and chill out in a hammock by the pool (12' cooling off pool!!) and listen to the river gently rushing by. Packages to suit everyone, and menu's discussed prior to your arrival. I cater for all dietary quirks and needs too! We have wifi and a telephone. Mobile signal is non existent here.

Tips

  • Lovely twice weekly pannier market in South Molton on a Thursday and Saturday mornings. Selling lovely local produce, books, flowers and plants and interesting locally made artisan goods.

  • Woolacombe is the longest beach in the UK and has some amazing sand dunes!
