Nature camping on Estate

Vrouwenpolder, Zeeland, Netherlands

About this campspace #s005829

Landgoed

Camping in nature with lots of space and privacy, away from the crowds? Then come to our nature campsite. Hidden in the polder landscape, we have a total of eleven camping pitches with unobstructed views over the beautiful hinterland of Walcheren.

On beautiful summer evenings you can see the deer and hares walking across the fields at sunset. And if you go for a walk on the estate, if you are very still, you can even come face to face with a deer. The beautiful and wide sandy beach and the sea are nearby. If you want water sports, you can also do that on the Veerse Meer. Or would you rather take a lovely walk in the woods? That is also possible in the Veerse Bos. Because peace and quiet are central to our green campsite, cars, radios and anything that causes disturbances are not allowed (motorhomes only after consultation). As a result, nature remains in its original state and the inhabitants of the estate (horses, deer, rabbits, game birds) are not disturbed. And your neighbors at the campsite will continue to enjoy their peace and quiet. Of course you can enter the site with your vehicle to set up and dismantle your camping pitch. But during your stay there are special parking spaces outside the camping area where you can park your car.

Our campsite is for adults only, or an 'adults only' campsite.

Rules

Our estate is car-free and we therefore ask you to park your car in the parking lot at the central entrance during your stay. On arrival it is of course possible to drive your caravan or folding trailer to the camping site. This also applies at the end of your stay, when you remove your camping equipment. In that case, you must enter the site through the rear entrance. Please only drive on the path and not on the grass, to avoid damage to the estate (on your camping pitch you can only drive your car over the grass area where plastic honeycomb tiles have been placed in the lawn). There are signs on the site indicating where you can and cannot drive. We assume that you respect these “traffic rules”.
If you visit us with the motorhome, this is only possible if the motorhome remains on the camping site for your entire stay. Only during check-in and check-out is it allowed to move the motorhome around the site.

Waste
There are waste containers next to the car park where you can dispose of household waste, PMD, glass and paper in sealed bags. We ask that you do not place waste next to the containers (or elsewhere on the site). Unfortunately, we do not offer the possibility to collect bulky waste (such as broken garden chairs), batteries and chemical waste.

Pets
Pets (dogs, cats, rabbits and guinea pigs) are welcome on the property all season, but are not allowed access to the buildings. They are not allowed to walk on the meadows, but they are allowed to walk on the paths on the property. The pets (max. 2) are always on a leash on the campsite and are let out outside the campsite.

Sanitation
All our sanitary facilities are located in the toilet block and their use is included in the camping rate.
Sanitary pads or wet wipes in the toilet will clog the sewage system. We would like to prevent this and that is why we ask you to deposit it in the waste bins. Also the diapers and bandages.
Your chemical toilet or toilet bucket may only be emptied into the designated landfill. You will find this on the far side of the toilet building.

visitors
Do you have visitors during the day? No problem! We do ask that you inform us of this. Visits are free until 10 p.m. If your visitors want to stay overnight, we will check whether this is possible (in total, max. 4 people may stay overnight on a camping pitch). If so, we will charge the overnight rate per person. If your visit comes by car, the parking rate for an extra car will apply.

Dates
Finally, to make the stay of all our guests as pleasant as possible, we ask you to take a number of agreements into account. This way we keep the campsite safe, quiet and well-maintained.
- Our guests stay with us because of the peace and space. Take your neighbors into account, they also want to enjoy the environment and the silence. There should be absolute silence between 11:00 PM and 7:00 AM.
- When checking in and out, it is allowed to drive across the site, but do so at walking pace (max. 10 km/h).
- The caravan must be placed with the long side in line with the camping pitch (parallel to the hedge), on the plastic honeycomb tiles.
- No small tents larger than 6 m2 allowed.
- No smoking in our accommodations and buildings.
- Barbecues are only allowed on our camping pitches if other guests are not disturbed. If you don't cook on gas, but on charcoal, take a fireproof bottom plate with you so that the camping site remains green for the next guest.
- Open fire is not allowed.
- A groundsheet may only be used on the possibly existing bare spots of the lawn, where you can pitch your (front) tent. This sail is not allowed under the awning or in other places. So no tarp may be used on the grass, not even an air-permeable tarp or an anti-root cloth. All these types destroy the grass. Therefore use a so-called tent carpet (with holes), available in random camping shops.
- The camping site is part of the estate, which largely includes horses. Takes the welfare of these animals into account. Do not feed the horses, always close gates behind you, etc.
- It is forbidden to fly with (stunt) kites and drones, because this poses danger and noise nuisance to others.

The 11 camping pitches are all over 200m2 and equipped with, among other things, 16 Ampere electricity, their own water supply and drainage and WiFi.
