On our cozy nature farm we have a number of camping spots in the ancient orchard, and you are surrounded by our scurrying animals, including chickens, cats, sheep, goats, a cow and horses. Located in the West Frisian countryside, 5 km from the IJsselmeer and 10 km from Enkhuizen, Hoorn and Medemblik. In the yard you can cuddle and care for all the animals, help in the vegetable garden, have a barbecue, sit around the campfire, ride around on go-karts and pedal tractors, participate in yoga classes, play games in the barn, lie looking at the sky in the tall grass , and much more :)
There is an outdoor toilet and we have a nice shared bathroom with toilet, sink and hot shower.
Bad weather? Then you can also play games, swing or read in the sitting area in our cowshed. There is also a kitchen here where you can do the dishes or cook when it rains, or if you want to go culinary crazy or are tired of the gas burner.
A delicious breakfast with fresh local products, firewood and barbecue can be ordered/rented for an additional fee.
Breakfast : €15 euro pppd (from 2 persons); Firewood : €7.50 / bucket ; BBQ : €5 / time, excluding coals (book these on time!)

Had a very nice stay here! We brought our tent and had a view of the pasture with horses. Nice place with lots of sweet animals, equipped with everything you need (shower, toilet, mini fridge). Fun things to do nearby. Highly recommended!

With my tent I stood at the back of the flower garden. Here I could see the sun rise and fall again. They color the space and the view! The chickens roamed around wonderfully. And there was a pleasant commotion in the yard. Children who were hugging goats or hanging on the rings. The host can sing well and I could score coffee with the hostess and there was also delicious cake. The breakfast is really a gift and I can really recommend it.

Wonderfull and very welcoming host with a super nice breakfast in the morning. All essentials were there despite the lousy weather which of course had nothing to do with the campsite ;-) lovely surrounding.
How was the contact with the host?
Very easy and uncomplicated
Tips for new guests?
Bring weather adapted clothing and shoes. It is a farm and more enjoyable with an adapted outfit.

Nice and quiet place, casual and exactly what needed. Nice and basic!
How was the contact with the host?
We were received very friendly and when we needed something we could ask for it.
Tips for new guests?
There is not much to walk in the area so a bike or car is useful to get further afield. As a vegan we had a delicious meal at Van Bleiswijk in Enkhuizen.

Ellen is a very friendly hostess! Your farm is still under construction, but we didn't miss anything. This camper pitch is ideal for families with children! We wish Ellen, her family and her project all the best! Good luck and friendly guests! Reinhardt and Silke

If you like going back to basics, you've come to the right place!
The landlords have created a beautiful place for campers and have a clear vision about nature and how to deal with it.
Despite the fact that it took some getting used to not having a normal toilet and shower facilities, we thought it was a fantastic experience.

Do not expect a luxury campsite. But it is an authentic spot in West Friesland. Nice to cycle around here.

Ellen and her lovely family received us with lots of kindness and were very eager to accommodate us. Ellen went out of her way to make us feel welcome and she prepared a little tourist guide around the area. This farm is a very peaceful place with some of the cutest farm animals. We put up our tent in the orchard. Besides the lovely setting this spot also provides a good view over the surrounding landscape from which we could watch the sunset. The next morning we received our optional breakfast between the buttercup flowers in front of our tent which created the most romantic set-up. The breakfast (which we highly recommend) comprises the most delicious products originating from the farm itself and other local sources. After parting with our hosts we also cycled through the countryside towards the IJsselmeer where we took a refreshing swim on a hot day. The historical cities such as Hoorn and Enkhuizen in the area also make for great sightseeing. We had a great getaway together staying at the farm. This was just the break we needed to get away from the hassle of everyday life.

It was our first time booking through campspace and it works fine. You communicate with the campsite you are going to via your campspace account.
It was a mini campsite, we stood with our rented camper van in a meadow with fruit trees, very nice and wonderfully quiet. Quite an adventure for us, because we are not campers…. But it was a great experience. There are also few facilities on the campsite, which is still under development. We had everything we needed on the bus.
How was the contact with the host?
Super friendly host Ellen! Really takes the time for you and is happy to tell you about their place and the environment. We were allowed to borrow bicycles with which we could cycle to Enkhuizen, which was doable. Unfortunately we got a flat tire on the return journey. Contacted Ellen via campspace and she came to pick us up! Very sweet! Breakfast was also soooo delicious, with products from the region and the beautiful vegetable garden.
Tips for new guests?
Just do it once. They also rent apartments. If you want to go to the IJsselmeer once and want to visit beautiful North Holland towns and villages, this is a great place.

4,5 stars - really cosy and friendly stay at the farm. The space for the camper is absolutely amazing - just watch the picture. My son was a bit challenged by the missing Wi-Fi as well as the compost toilet. And it took me a little while to get adjusted to the car noises from the far away street. However, getting used to beautiful horses grazing just in front of the sunset was all worth it.
How was the contact with the host?
Very friendly. It was beautiful listening to the visions they have for the farm.
Tips for new guests?
The electricity did not work very well with our car - we got a mild electrical shock when touching the car. Not sure where the problem was, though
July 2022
Thanks Melanie, for sharing these details. No idea what could have caused the shock, will keep an eye on it! Wifi was available around the building, sorry I forgot to mention that... Hope your son didn't get too traumatized ;) Soon our common area will be reopened with wifi. Bit too late for you, unfortunately.

We had a wonderful time camping in the orchard. We were the only guests (and we loved it), so plenty of privacy. You can enjoy yourself there, and eg cuddle with a (now somewhat oversized) calf, goats, chickens and horses. Literally camping with the farmer. There is an indoor area (which is also rented out for workshops, for example) where you can make coffee and get water. You can easily reach Hoorn or Enkhuizen by car.
How was the contact with the host?
Ellen is a treasure! The contact before and during the stay was great and she came to serve us the delicious breakfast that we had ordered for the first morning.
Tips for new guests?
Go with the right expectations! The stay is basic. There is no shower (yet), so in the Dutch summer cold we stood behind our van under the cold garden hose. If you prefer more luxury or are looking for 'real' camping facilities, this may not be the place for you. Are you more of the laissez-faire and do you like peace and quiet, then this is the place for you!

The area is quiet and we slept well.
How was the contact with the host?
Ellen and her boyfriend were relaxed, helpful and friendly and had suggestions about places to visit
Tips for new guests?
There is a compost toilet but we found that the separation bin underneath is too close when you sit down. Our tip is bring hygienic cleaning / disinfection wipes with you!

Hi Anastasia, thanks for your stay, your review and feedback about the toilet! This is very easily fixable and we will do this right away :)
Hope to see you again one day!

Beautiful surroundings, idyllic with the cows, horses, chickens, sheep around us. But it really is still a campsite in the making, there is a toilet with a shower, which looks neat, except that we missed a mirror,
but the road to it is not good and even a bit dangerous, it is located in a large stable where work is still being done, difficult step to the toilet, where there are also all kinds of cables and the stable is not lit, I experienced this as unpleasant . We work hard, even during the day, which sometimes takes away the peace. It will certainly be beautiful, but for me it was too early to offer this as a camping spot.

I was able to work wonderfully, exactly what I intended.
It was noisy at night. The horses went in and out of the box all night, great for the horses that you can but that makes a lot of noise so right next to you.

Fine. We only spoke for a short while.

Facilities were substandard. 1 bathroom with shower and toilet without mirror, brackets, etc. No hot water for washing up. The price was way too high compared to the amenities. Our grandchild loved the campsite because of all the animals that ran loose
