Beautiful location! Only it says on the website that a tent has electricity, but that is not the case. Fortunately, we were able to access power with our extension cord. Still essential for a cool box.

How was the contact with the host?
Fine

Tips for new guests?
Bring long extension cords.

What a green gem in the Ardennes! Spacious pitches with lots of green strips in between provide a natural effect. Everywhere you have a beautiful view over the lake, where giant fish regularly jump up. We stayed in a safari tent, we slept wonderfully here, only the sound of crickets and owls could be heard here. For the rest it is quiet. What I also find special is how they deal with nature here. Work is underway on a permaculture, waste is sorted, all beers and soft drinks are local. We also had a very tasty meal, fresh lasagna and pizza with cheese from Chimay, I would recommend it to everyone! If you prefer to cook for yourself, there is a full outdoor kitchen or several barbecues available for you. This campspace is 100 percent dog-friendly, you can even paddle with your dog on the lake. We did the walk on the campsite, so you can see what is going to happen and you pass the beehive and the chickens that they rescued from a battery cage.... The reception was also super friendly in both French and Dutch . I am a big fan of this green gem and we are already looking forward to our next visit because we will definitely come back!

How was the contact with the host?
Super friendly, smooth and helpful.

Tips for new guests?
Rent a sup or electric bike on site so that you can explore the beautiful surroundings.

A beautiful campsite with a very nice atmosphere. The owners are super friendly and happy to chat. The pitches are nice between the trees and if you are on top of the campsite you have a beautiful view. There is a nice terrace to have a bite to eat and a drink and the owners do their best to organize fun things for the camping guests such as a quiz and a bbq! The sanitary facilities were clean but not all worked (one sink was broken and not all washing-up sinks had hot water and leaked).

How was the contact with the host?
Super cozy. We received a warm welcome and chatted with you when you sat on the terrace.

Tips for new guests?
Don't forget your toilet paper and some soap and a towel at the toilets, you have to bring these yourself.

It was still wonderfully quiet and empty at the beginning of June. It is a pity that the (fish) pond is not really suitable for bathers (brown "dregs" and no easy access to the water) and that the kitchen was not really clean. Clean sanitary facilities. Also wonderfully lazy.

How was the contact with the host?
That was ok, not super spontaneous, a bit stiff.

June 2023 · Translated from dutch

Host Naturia SCES has responded

Thank you Rianne, your remarks are quite accurate, for the common kitchen, the cleanliness depends mainly on the travelers, we clean it every day but it's true sometimes travelers leave it in a bad state. Looking forward

Beautiful campsite with beautiful nature. Very friendly people, beautiful spacious places for the tent. Sanitary facilities were basic but very good / practical showers.

It was also nice that we could order bread, so we didn't have to go to the bakery ourselves in the morning.

The hosts did their best to organize fun activities as well. Such as a BBQ and rum / gin tasting. The food was also all local which is top notch!

Work point: possibly make steps to get to the tent, it is very slippery if the grass was a bit wet

How was the contact with the host?
Super friendly people, we forgot our extension cable and helped us out. They both did their best to speak Dutch.

Campspace website confirmed a tent spot, which turned out not to be there on arrival. So I had to go to the less beautiful side of the campsite

Not a campsite for peace seekers: cars and motorcycles are allowed on the site and drive back and forth

Plus point: outdoor kitchen with all the trimmings (including cooking utensils, crockery and cutlery)

How was the contact with the host?
The host did make an effort to find me a nice spot. They were very friendly and helpful.

Tips for new guests?
If you come for a rest, check if there is something going on at the Chimay circuit, which is nearby!

Camper place and surroundings beautiful and very quiet

How was the contact with the host?
Reception with Mrs. went smoothly. She couldn't find my reservation. She said there were no free seats because my brother-in-law hadn't made a reservation. While there were at least 6 empty places during our stay.
in the evening only student workers in the resto while host was sleeping

Tips for new guests?
If you go for the area: recommended
If you want additional information : find another campsite

Natacha

Tell us about your experience
The setting is beautiful, well maintained. The sanitary facilities are very good. The shared kitchen has several fridges and a freezer. You will also find plenty of utensils and even an oven. This is the reason for the 2 stars.
On the other hand, at location 10 do not have children because you will be asked at 9 p.m. to stop making noise and to silence your children. Logically it's at 10 p.m., you have to believe that year-round residents rule the roost. Do not put background music in any case no Jazz.

Avoid dog gifts that some masters leave behind, and pray that at the end of the leash there is the owner. On several occasions, we were afraid for our children (4 and 5 years old), who did not understand why the dogs were free to move.

How was the contact with the host?
The first person it was very warm and friendly. For the start, on the other hand, it was rubbish. Several times the same question of whether we had paid well for our location. His broken webpage. It lasted over ten minutes. Then the price announced when ordering the pastries is no longer the same when you pay for them two days later. €19 instead of €18. It's only a EUR but it's in principle. Either no one knows about the order or the settlement.

Tips for new guests?
It is not clearly indicated or announced, but you have the possibility of sorting your waste. The different containers are at the exit. Perfect campsite for nature lovers, but not for families. And you will have to really love dogs and sometimes you will come across some long-tailed rodents.

July 2023 · Translated from french

Host Naturia SCES has responded

Hello and thank you for your comment.
We are indeed busy thinking about dogs. The rules are very clear, yet the masters do not respect them! Sorry for the comments from year-round tenants, they don't make the law, you're right. For the rest, that's correct, Naturia is a campsite for nature lovers and probably less so for very young children. Really sorry. We can give you a full refund if you want.

Messy campsite. Sanitary facilities were not clean. Camp sites were messy. Unsociable, lots of rubbish in the ground. Owners were friendly. Food was good. Campspace had charged a pre-season price. We still had to pay 4 € per day. While that wasn't our fault. Not to be repeated.

How was the contact with the host?
Good
