We enjoyed three nights camping in Buborn and would like to share our experiences.
The journey to Buborn was uncomplicated. The campsite was easy to find and the signposts were helpful and well signposted.
The area is truly stunning and we really appreciated the tranquility and small village feel. The untouched nature offers a real nature experience, and the view from the outside toilet was impressive. 😁

A small point of criticism would be that the campsites could use a little more privacy. It would be nice if they were a little more opaque.
Unfortunately the tap didn't work during our stay, which was a bit inconvenient.

Despite this minor inconvenience, we had a great time and definitely plan to come back. Mogli, our dog, was also thrilled.
Thank you for the lovely experience!

Sure, here's a short English review for your camping experience at Sebastian's place:

"We had an amazing time camping at Sebastian's campsite.  The view from our camper was breathtaking, and having a campfire in the forest was an incredible experience. The tranquility of the surroundings made it a peaceful getaway. We feel incredibly grateful for the opportunity to enjoy this place."

How wonderful to be in nature without electricity and a drinking water tap. But after a week I started to miss the flow. There is a water pump with water that is better not to drink, but useful for washing up and so on. The outdoor toilet is great, with a great view from the toilet!

How was the contact with the host?
Great, Sebastiaan came by when we were already standing (after registering with his mother 300 meters away) and enthusiastically told his story. We have not seen him again.

Tips for new guests?
bring bottles of water (or fill your jerry can at Sebastiaan's mother) and a solar panel for the fridge?!
It is very nice that there is a 50 kW charging station at Lidl 6 kilometers away. Swimming pool nearby also beautifully situated in the green.

It doesn't get any closer to wild camping. What a fantastic place. This is what we expect from a campspace. Beautifully landscaped pitches with epic views of the hills. Nice in the shade on a hot day.
Plenty of hiking opportunities. Keep your dog on a leash if you are unsure of his or her hunting drive. We encountered hares, deer and a fox. Wildlife can also be spotted from the spot.
We had the place to ourselves for 1 night. It was super quiet. Only sounds of nature.

How was the contact with the host?
Sebastian was friendly. Apologized that the fire pit was not allowed to be used due to the drought. Not without understanding, of course.

Tips for new guests?
Use the bucket of sand near the dry toilet. That prevents it from smelling.

We had a great stay at Sebastian's place. The location is fantastic with a great view of meadow and forest. The site was well maintained, very quiet during the day (apart from farm traffic) and at night. We combined our stay with a paddling tour on the Glan.
2 of 3 parking spaces were occupied, the middle space was free.

How was the contact with the host?
Sebastian stopped by after we arrived, brought some wood and was available to answer any questions. A very friendly and helpful host.

Tips for new guests?
Bring enough drinking water (or water filter). In Lauterecken there are all the larger supermarkets and a drugstore.

Sebastian's Campspace is a great place with a view of fields and forest, in the middle of nature and still easily accessible! A barbecue area with a wooden table and benches and a fireplace invites you to linger ... the underground refrigerator was also great!
Our dog Kiko was able to run around freely and didn't have to stay in a plot on a leash.... a thousand times better than any campsite!
There are three pitches with extra space for the tent .. all so beautifully laid out!

How was the contact with the host?

Fantastic place. Lots of peace, wildlife and nature. Occasionally you see a walker, hunter or farmer, but for the rest you are mostly alone in the forest. A pleasant surprise was the compost toilet, I did not know beforehand that this would be present. Beautiful view over the valley / meadows / mountains.

There are plenty of nice villages/towns nearby to visit and to drink/buy wine from the region.

How was the contact with the host?
Sebastian stopped by to bring a crate of dry firewood, very thoughtful! There is also plenty of dry firewood to be found, so bring a saw/axe. He was able to give me information about hiking trails and winegrowers in the region. Very friendly, relaxed landlord that makes you feel immediately at ease!

Tips for new guests?
Take enough drinking water with you. If you bring a dog; please note that there are many deer and foxes around and the hunting season may be open.

Simple, cheap and good German food with friendly service: Gasthaus zur Stadtmauer in Meisenheim.

A very nice spot in nature. Although quite close to civilization, if you close your eyes you only hear nature. The 5 days were very relaxing and just what we needed after 3 years.
During the day many wild animals such as hawks, rabbits and deer can be observed and in the evening you can see the stars from both bays.
The fireplace is also beautifully developed and equipped with a swivel grill.

What a calm, peaceful and perfect place for nature lovers, especially during hot periods! It was the heat wave when we came, so it was the perfect place to cool off under the trees, while enjoying a great view and refreshing evening walk on the trail. With the drought, we didn't make a fire, but that didn't take anything away from our stay, which was perfect. In the morning, we had the pleasant visit of hares and horses from the land next door. The place totally corresponds to the description and photos.

How was the contact with the host?
The directions on site were very clear and the contact with Sebastian was very easy. He told us we could build our tent on the car spot or on any place in the wood.

Tips for new guests?
If you are looking for nature, calm and freshness, go there without hesitation. If you have a hammock, this is the perfect place to take a nap while enjoying the great view and the wind in the trees. If you want to put your tent on the car spot to enjoy the view, you might want to take a tent that is easy to build, which can stand without stakes and with a protection for the bottom as the spot itself is on stones. There are indeed a lot of ants, but we managed to prevent them from entering our tent.

It's a beautiful place with a great view. Because it was very dry we all thought it was not wise to use the fire pit. We thought that was a shame, but safety for people and nature is of course paramount!
Because we had counted on this and only had an electric stove, Sebastian offered to lend us his extra gas stove with gas bottle! A very nice offer that we gladly took advantage of.
A beautiful area where we completely relaxed.
1 small minus that Sebastian couldn't do anything about:
Both places where we could stand were covered with red ants, but hey… that's nature.

How was the contact with the host?
Sebastian was a very nice host who could make himself understood very well in English.
He went the extra mile to make our stay enjoyable.
We were unable to reach him very well on arrival and went looking for the camping spot ourselves. He didn't think this was a problem.

Great spots, great location if you are looking for a remote spot. We spend a few night here and felt completely at ease. Our dog could roam free and find the perfect shade spots. We were there during the heatwave and could cool off thanks to the trees.

How was the contact with the host?

Tips for new guests?
Bring a water reservoir and drinking water.

It was our first tour with the roof tent. The directions were very well described.
It is simply beautiful and absolutely quiet here. We were alone, could unwind, enjoy nature and observe animals. It was certainly not our last visit.

How was the contact with the host?
Sebastian stopped by in the morning and checked that things were all right. A very nice and hard-working host.

A beautiful beautiful and quiet place in the middle of nature away from literally everything. We were in one of two spots under the trees but with a view of the unwired hilly pasture and the woods on the other side. Birds everywhere and spotted a deer. Made a lovely walk. There are no facilities outside of a fire pit but that was fine for us. It's that we had other plans but certainly would have liked to stay here for a long time.

How was the contact with the host?
Sebastián stopped by to inquire if everything was okay. Nice and enterprising and man who has many plans to promote (eco) tourism in his region.

Absolute calm! You only hear the wildlife.
I would highly recommend this place to anyone!

The BBQ area is just behind the Camp Spots (10 second walk)

The approach is also well signposted and paved until just before the spots (then about 10 meters very wide and well-compacted gravel path).

Accessible with absolutely any vehicle!

How was the contact with the host?
Host is super nice!
Came by in the evening, we invited him to dinner and then we had a really good chat.

Tips for new guests?
D1 and Vodafone have no reception here, which I personally consider a plus!

Anyone who is dependent on contact with the outside world has to fall back on O2/E-Plus.

A nice experience in the middle of nature.
This place is not suitable for spoiled campers, but for families with children and off gritters.
Big disadvantage is the nearby airport. An airplane taking off every three minutes at night.

Tips for new guests?
Bring earplugs and water.

Which airport ?
Ear plug ? Because of the birds singing in the morning?

Very beautiful place, quite and you have the feeling of being all alone. Sebastian is adjusting the campsite so it's more friendly for tents as well.

How was the contact with the host?
A friendly welcome, he came around for checking if everything was okay.

Tips for new guests?
Enjoy

We are very disappointed with our stay.
Despite the surroundings, which are beautiful, we did not have the peace and quiet that we wished for.
There were also other campers on site which wasn't disturbing as we were able to be with other people.
However, during the night these campers brought two more cars home and partied late into the night.

How was the contact with the host?
No contact

Tips for new guests?
I recommend booking both pitches to avoid such problems and to be able to fully enjoy nature.
