Welcome to our tipi and our spacious natural garden with a small pond!
The emphasis here is on the outdoors. You can also enjoy our cozy covered outdoor area with a fully equipped kitchen, sofa, table, sitting area, fridge, retro wood stove, stove, microwave, coffee corner, eco detergent, kitchen towels, ...
The fridge may be used for personal use, but is also stocked with soft drinks and (regional) beers.

The tipi is at the back of the garden for the most privacy. You can stay here with 4 people (5 or 6 on RQ). There are thick sleeping mats and an insulating carpet, so wonderfully comfortable!

Also available: eco toilet (including toilet paper), BBQ and fire pit. Wood and firelighters are included both for the stove in the cottage and the outdoor area. It is best to bring your own charcoal for BBQ.

You can rent bed linen or bring it with you.

From May to October there is an outdoor solar shower.

It is a beautiful green region with numerous walking, cycling and MTB routes. Right behind our garden runs the Ijse, one of the purest watercourses in Flanders and with a kilometre-long walking/cycling path: the Ijsepad. Along this you step in the green to the Smeysberg, the center of Huldenberg, Loonbeek, Neerijse, the Doode Bemde nature reserve, ...
In the wider area: Meerdaalwoud, Heverleebos, the recreation park Zoet Water, but also the park of Tervuren and the Zoniënwoud, all part of the Brabant forests.

We are located on the route of several cycling races, 12 km from Leuven and 15 km from Brussels.
Easily accessible by public transport: there is a bus stop at 50m and the train station of Sint-Joris-Weert is at 8km, that of Leuven at 12km.
You can also park your car here.
The center with supermarket, bakery, chip shop, takeaway sushi, ... is 1.5 km away.

Looking for something extra? To what adventure? We organize outdoor activities and you can rent BICYCLES or KICKIBIKES to explore the area. Or a CANOE for a beautiful trip on the Dijle, departure at about 10 minutes (transport included).
Activities also take place at our location with nature as the central theme.

Need tips and tricks about the environment? We are happy to help you!

Our site is a smoke-free zone and completely fenced. We have two lovely dogs of our own: Yuna and Nola. Your dog is certainly welcome!

It was nice to stay in the tipi tent and in the lovely garden with Tanja and Frank. The tipi tent at the back of the garden and the cooking house in the middle of the garden provided a lot of privacy. We made a canoe trip (from Sint-Agatha-Rode to just before Leuven); a wonderful and adventurous experience. An absolute must!
Beautiful surroundings and a very nice camping spot! A discovery!

How was the contact with the host?
Tanja responded quickly and correctly to all messages.
We felt welcome yet enjoyed a great sense of privacy.

We have experienced our stay with Frank and Tanja as very pleasant. They live about half an hour from Brussels, which is easy to do by car or possibly bus. The garden is beautiful and has a roof in which everything has been thought of. There is a refrigerator, stove, place where you can sit and so on. We have been able to read our books in the roof every evening with a view of the green garden and starry sky. Frank and Tanja also had two very sweet dogs.

How was the contact with the host?
Tanja is a hospitable woman who receives you warmly. She tells you a lot about the area and ensures that your stay is pleasant.

We where welcomed by the super friendly owner Tanja and her 2 lovely dogs.
The camp space is absolutely gorgeous. The tipi tent stands in their lovely green garden with outside shower thats gave me a sense of freedom. There is a lovely wooden covered cooking spot incl fridge to use build by Frank himself. In the garden are many lovely chill out spots. There is a beautifull eco toilet and if you want also an option to rent the little cabin close to the house incl woodfire and heater.

tanja and Frank organize all kinds of things like kickbike and canoe adventure.

The area is lovely with 1.5km walk along the stream into the little town where there is a shop and a snack bar. Loads of routes for beautiful nature walks and bike options in the area as well. Besides that there ate some lovely city's close by like Bruxelles. Tanja can tell you all the things to do in the area.

I would definitely recommend a stay with Tanja and Frank

A well-kept natural garden full of corners where you can relax. All the basics are present and very well cared for. The tipi tent was certainly spacious enough for four. Lots of privacy. The kitchen / cottage ideal for when it rains.

How was the contact with the host?
Very good reception and guidance by Tanja. Very helpful people with respect for our privacy. Also very sweet dogs.

Tips for new guests?
The canoe trip was well organized with good explanations and instructions. Overcoming obstacles in the nature reserve together was a real adventure. Especially with a 9 and 12 year old there. Recommended!

This house of Tanja is highly recommended! All facilities are available to make it a pleasant weekend. Tanja, Frank and the dogs were very hospitable and we received all the necessary explanations on arrival. Although you stay in a house with electricity and a stove, it is still a real back to basics experience, which makes it even better! We rented the kick bikes that we had a lot of fun with in the woods of Huldenberg and surroundings. I asked for a route and it was immediately mapped out for us. This stay is also recommended in winter. We will definitely come back to camp in the summer with our tent!

We enjoyed our stay in the cozy cottage. Warm welcome from Tanja, who gave some tips for the area. You can start beautiful walks in the area from the house. Cozy wood stove and electric fire for the night, so you don't have to suffer from the cold. The air mattress is very comfortable. Pluses are the peace and quiet and the beautiful surroundings (walking along the IJssel, around the lake of Overijsse, Tervuren, Zoniënwoud). Highly recommended!

We were very well received by Tanja and Frank for an autumn stay in a cozy wooden house. A warm house with a nice crackling fire was waiting for us on arrival, when we arrived a little later than expected.
All the basics are present in the house (sink, eco toilet next to the house, an assortment of teas, kettle, bluetooth speakers, ..) for a comfortable stay, even in autumn. The cottage is clean and cared for.
The outdoor kitchen is in a tent a little further on, which was very handy in these times where meals can no longer be consumed in the center.
Do bring a good, thick sleeping bag in the winter/autumn, because once the fire goes out at night, it can get a bit colder.
Recommended!

great friendly hosts. Did optional kayak trip, would highly recommend it to do it and if a bit experienced and adventurous ask for the “off the beaten track” upstream. Easy accessible by public transport. Suggestion for future: Maybe provide some access to electricity outside.
