About this campspace #s002002

We have a large camping area with a meditation dome, sauna, orchard, labyrinth, fire pit and much more. Our site is part of a residential community of artists, among others, and has a seminar house where workshops are given. You are welcome to rent one of our beautiful rooms as 'Friend of the Vlierhof' .. We are also a small-scale organic farm with a vegetable garden and a large greenhouse.

A nice spot for your tent will be selected in consultation with the host. We have toilets and showers but you are free to take a dip in our natural pool and explore our grounds.

It will also be interesting to see community life from a distance. There are many great projects going on here at the moment. The place is just so inspiring.

Unfortunately pets cannot be brought along.

Meet De Vlierhof, your host

Our campsite is part of diversified property run by an intentional entrepreneurs (8 people). We are mainly dutch speaking persons of many ages. The campsite nestles between a festival meadow and our farm on one side and the main buildings and adjacent gardens on the other. Also on the property is a pond (and sauna), some tiny houses, a glass house and labyrinth (the oldest project in the community). The terrain is wide, abundant and full with art.

Contact with the host was fine, I had to call before we would arrive, and after a while we got an explanation and a small tour of the enormous and versatile terrain.

The location is beautiful, it is a pity that it is not well maintained, much is unfinished or rickety so to speak. It describes the possible use of a sauna, but it did not look as if it was still in use. Sanitary facilities are clean and good!

Merel recommends this campspace

This Campspace is located on the site of a creative residential community. We were welcomed very friendly and were given an extensive tour of the property of host Marjorie on arrival. In the garden, there is plenty of room to set up your tent among the varied nature. In addition, there are many places of interest in the garden, including a greenhouse full of home-grown vegetables, but also a stork's nest with a bit of luck to see a stork. This place will allow you to relax.

Lizzy recommends this campspace

We went camping with a group of friends on the Campspace in Kleve. It is a very nice site, nice and quiet and lots of space. There is a calm atmosphere, and when you step out of your tent in the morning you are greeted by roaming chickens. The toilets and shower were clean and worked well. We also bought a nice juice made from the berries that are grown on site. Really recommended to camp here once!
