Nice, spacious garden, in the middle of the meadows, near the Regge

About this campspace

The garden is a place to live, for people and animals. That means space for the cats and chickens, a branch hedge in which hedgehogs and insects feel at home and a girth in which birds feast on what they can find.

And that means space for nature-conscious people with whom we like to share this place. In our bed and breakfast and on our ieniemienie campsite.
Do you like to be sheltered behind the shed under the tree or do you prefer to look over the vegetable garden and past the greenhouse to the meadows; feel completely relaxed in the place of your choice.

Two toilets and a shower, a roof where you can sit in bad weather; it looks like a real campsite. You just don't have to share it with many people.
The vegetable garden offers you organic vegetables and small fruit for a very reasonable fee. If the chickens feel like it, there are farm-fresh eggs. Books are plentiful and we don't need to elaborate on the walking and cycling possibilities of the Sallandse Heuvelrug and the Reggedal. Enjoy.

A real holiday is of course also an extensive breakfast. We can take care of that for you (after all, we also do that for our B&B guests). And do you want to eat with the pot once; this is of course possible in consultation.

With our Canadian canoe you can make nice trips on the Regge. We have a campfire pit for a fire on chilly evenings. There is also a barbecue. A lot is possible, as long as we discuss it with each other.

Rules

We try to live as sustainably as possible. So economical with water (IBC barrels for the garden) and use of sustainable energy (solar panels). We separate and recycle waste as much as possible. We expect the same from our guests. Together we make the difference.

We take each other into account. That means no amplified music and after 10pm it is quiet. Of course we still have a chat around the campfire.

From driving back and forth, the ground quickly sounds. So if you want to leave the site with your van in the meantime, we ask you to remain in the paved parking lot in the yard.

Super nice little campsite. We were also allowed to use the wooden roof with a deck terrace (that was a bit of luck). That was really super luxury next to our tent.

How was the contact with the host?
Jan is friendly, helpful and also leaves you in peace. A lot can and should be done in consultation.

Tips for new guests?
Stickers with your name for things that can go in the general fridge. Battery powered lights. We once put the flashlight upside down under the tree. As a result, the tree was nicely lit and you could see something in the dark. 😊

This campspace is located in the beautiful Twente countryside. There are plenty of opportunities for active trips, but this place is also ideal for relaxing with a book in the garden, enjoying the view and the (when we were there) many storks. Sanitary facilities are fine. Overall nice place

What a wonderful place and what a hospitality! Nice and quiet and yet a lot to discover on the 'farm' itself, but also the roads around it. Kitchen, sanitary facilities, picnic tables are all in order. A maximum of 3 'campers' are accepted and with the space for so much more, that gives a lot of freedom.

How was the contact with the host?
Jan is a pleasant and warm man! 5 minutes after arrival we spontaneously had bicycles to borrow, a tip for a good restaurant in the area and a lift from Jan personally to the starting point of one of the Pieterpad stages.

For us it was the very first time with the tent, the very first time camping, the very first time with Campspace.

Due to family circumstances, a large hotel resort or large campsite is no longer really something for us, so we wanted to give it a different tack...
I had promised the kids that I would sleep in our own garden one day, so we bought a tent where we could fit in with 4...
No sooner said than done... and yes, we liked that already 😅
Then suddenly (how they always know) I came across a commercial from campspace...
We were able to book with Jan quite last minute. The bikes on the car and off we were!
And yes, what a great experience!
Bbq, campfire, canoeing, everything is possible.
Our kids are still full of it!
We will definitely come back again, it's so nice!
Nothing is necessary, everything is possible!

How was the contact with the host?
In short, AWESOME cool guy!
We clicked from the first moment, Jan has helped us enormously as 'camping greengrocers'!
Also had a lot of understanding for our situation (son with a disability)
Ps Jan, Mattias has already said a few times that he misses you 😉 and that he is looking forward to next time!

BTW our death march was shortened to 66km but we both got off it! 👣☠️👣🎖

Tips for new guests?
Take bicycles with you, super fun cycling routes nearby.

We had a great week! There was a nice shower and toilet. We have used the BBQ and outdoor kitchen almost every day, cooking with a view of a beautiful beautiful area. When it started to rain we were allowed to sit under the roof. A lot is possible here in consultation! The cucumber, zucchini, onions and garlic from our own garden were also very tasty, unfortunately we were just a little too late for strawberries ;)

How was the contact with the host?
The contact went smoothly and effortlessly, both digitally and live.

We were at Jan and Kootje's in a lovely place in their large beautiful garden. With a maximum of 3 camping spots, it is an excellent place to enjoy peace, space and hospitality. The fresh eggs and Jan's delicious breakfast made the party complete! Camping next to an organic vegetable garden, who wouldn't want that? The building of the present B&B provided the sanitary facilities and the possible use of the kitchen was also nice! We only used the kitchen for the dishes, but the weather was beautiful!

How was the contact with the host?

A very quiet spot, for just 3 vans/tents. But we had the beautiful garden mostly to ourselves. Amazing for bbq and for playing badminton. The facilities were so much more than what you’d expect from a campsite with just 3 spots, because of the B&B that is also located there. We could even use a fridge. Jan and his wife sell some fruits and eggs from their own vegetable garden. There is so much to see in the beautiful rural environment, that we plan to return next year!

How was the contact with the host?
Jan and his wife were very welcoming and generous, we felt at home immediately! It is very obvious that they enjoy doing this!

Tips for new guests?
As with all campsites with many trees, there were quite a lot of mosquitos in the evening. So don’t forget to bring a cream or repellent for that. (We forgot and they bit me through my socks.)

High expectations that have been exceeded. There is a lot of space but also very cozy!!! I walked so dreamily along with Jan's tour that I immediately didn't know the way anymore. It helped us a lot to slow down. How beautiful it is that you feel the freedom to take an evening walk and to let you feel that you are really away for a while. During the day you can hear the road, but at night it is really quiet!! We were with a mini camper, but with a tent you can hide even further. The facilities are luxurious by our standards and very clean. You are in a different world and a repetition is certainly possible because the terrain has more options than just camping. Worth exploring. Furthermore, we enjoyed what Jan's country had to offer; fresh strawberries, tasty eggs, fresh mint tea, rhubarb and much more to come.
We opted for breakfast. A very good choice! Wonderfully rich and delicious! So much, that we had plenty for lunch to take with us on our walk. Recommended!
Oh and the cats are unbelievably sweet!!!

How was the contact with the host?
Jan has a natural relationship with people, a real gift. Responds very quickly and is open. Everything is not in a fixed pattern and you really feel all the freedom. A perfect balance of entitlement where necessary or cozy and also wonderful to be yourself. He can convey this feeling well.

What a wonderful place was allotted to me in the garden of Jan and Kootje! Two nights turned into three, because it was so nice there. There is a relaxed atmosphere and all facilities (shower, toilet, even a kitchenette) were perfectly fine.
The fire bowl was allowed for a fire at the tent, if you don't have one, there is also a campfire spot.
The area is beautiful: beautiful routes cycled and swam in 't Lageveld, a recreational lake 10 km away. A place to return to!

With my sister we spent a night in a roof tent. First we were warmly welcomed by Jan. There was a wonderful atmosphere to just do your own thing and feel at home. We were actually sorry that we were there so short! We would have liked to have lit a fire. Sustainability is given great attention, also reflected in the vegetable garden they maintain.

Plumbing was completely fine, and the field to put tent / car more is nicely spacious.

How was the contact with the host?

We have been here when it was quite cold. But that didn't spoil the fun. We made a nice fire and enjoyed our own place.
The campspace is located along a road. There is still a strip of trees and plants in between. In addition, this road was not crowded. So you don't have to worry about this.
You can also buy wood from the owner to make a fire. You can do this at the fire pit or at your own place with your own fire pit. We did the latter.
There is a canoe to cruise the regge. The regge is a 5 minute walk from the venue.
We had a great time and really enjoyed it!

We had a nice spacious place, half in the shade which was very nice with the hot days that we were there with our camper van. The sanitary facilities were neat. Nice that there are some vegetables from our own garden for sale!

How was the contact with the host?
Jan is pleasant and hospitable and can tell you about the history and customs of the area.

Tips for new guests?
Take a bike ride along the beautiful Regge and over the Sallandse Heuvelrug. And join a guide in a zomp (boat) on the Regge. One of the boarding points is within cycling distance.

Very nice place and host and hostess, trust and openness experienced. As long as you are not hindered by agricultural noises in the background, you have excellent ground under your feet. we will definitely come back!

Jan and Kootje have a fantastic piece of land where you can camp. You can choose your place yourself. They have space for three camping equipment on the site. If there were three camping equipment, you would still be very spacious and with sufficient privacy. If you want power, you have to be closer to the building. You look best when you don't need electricity. You share the shower and toilet with the other camping guests. The sanitary facilities are simple, but functional. We had included breakfast. That was very well taken care of. We can recommend this mini campsite, especially if you like peace, space and friendliness!

How was the contact with the host?
Pleasant, Jan is friendly, down to earth and hospitable.

Cancellation Policy

Guests who cancel at least 30 days before check-in date will receive a refund of the amount paid by them (excl. Campspace fees). If they cancel between 14 and 30 days before check-in, they will receive a 50% refund. Otherwise they will not be refunded.
