Good morning! We are lucky Stéphan, Sacha our son and I to live in this magnificent region that is La Calestienne. Our property is located on a high plateau and on one hectare of forest and limestone meadow. We can therefore share our space as well as offer you ideas for walks, with geological and naturalist knowledge. During the summer season, we open a terrace where you can cool off and discover excellent local beers. The garden is attached to the "Ateliers Gerny", B&B and creative spaces. Very nice place, was very quiet! The shared space was large and equipped with toilet and sink. There were plenty of seats outside and there was a place to make a campfire. You could also buy a drink if you wanted. From the campsite it was a half hour drive to Durbuy and Dinant so that was easy to do. The village of marche en famenne is close by and you can get a bite to eat in the evening on a terrace (or go by car).
Unfortunately the ground was too hard/had too many stones to get pegs in, the only other campers experienced this problem too. Fortunately the weather was nice so we were able to secure the flysheet with some stones. The owners were very friendly and were there for us all day long. In addition, there is also a nice cat who likes to say hello to you in the evening.

There is no shower, take into account sporting activities that you are going to do and where you can cool off afterwards! We went swimming at Ninglingspo, but much of the water there has dried up now.

C'était un jour assez chaude. A cette hauteur (plateau) sur le sol calcaire je ne trouvais pas la fraicheur que j'avais attendu. Il ya presque pas d'ombre dans le jardin. The contact with the landlord was good. Friendly. It was a nice, quiet location. Located in the green. We paid 30€ and that's a lot for what you get. Taking water was possible but was not really the intention. Electricity was no problem. It was possible to leave waste behind, but was not really the intention. For €30 you can stay overnight in a 3-star campsite with all amenities. You are calmer and greener of course. But the meadow was also used as a parking lot for visitors to the studio. The owner was friendly, for the two minutes we saw her.

Furthermore it was a rather shabby meadow/environment (I get it -artsy, but still) with gear and machinery on it. We could use a fire pit and a toilet we could use, which was very handy and we were there alone, so it was very quiet.
