Hey,

We are Cornel and Svenja, have two children aged 4 and 2. Together we run an organic arable farm in Flevoland and Svenja also works at the agricultural college in Dronten. We also have a number of horses, sheep, cats and dogs. You are very welcome at our farm where we have wonderful places and if desired, you can show everything about our company. Hope to see you!

A charming little campsite on the farm! We appreciated the calm of this place and the well shaded pitches. The sanitary facilities are a bit old but very clean and functional. And the campsite is located 15 minutes by car from a train station from where you can reach Amsterdam by train in less than an hour: ideal for visiting the city. Excellent value for money for campers who do not want to stay in large campsites!

Only small downside, it takes a little time to get used to the noise made by the wind turbine that supplies the farm with energy...

How was the contact with the host?
Svenja is very welcoming, we were received simply and warmly.

Tips for new guests?
Do not hesitate to visit the Natuurpark of Lelystad, which is very close.
And don't forget to take a few 50 cent coins for the hot showers!

We received a very friendly welcome and immediately felt welcome. We traveled with the roof tent and were allocated a nice spot. Quiet campsite among the greenery. Toilet and shower available.

A very pleasant mini campsite with a quiet location and wide views over the fields. Neat camper place and a welcome committee on 4 legs that winds every guest around his finger with its charm. This is still a very "young" (recent) campsite, but you can see that a lot of work has already been done and that they take all the time and effort to make the guests feel at home. A beautiful camping site is growing here !! The sanitary facilities are still basic for the time being, but everything is there and works, and is neat ... Definitely recommended for a stay.

How was the contact with the host?
A very friendly and spontaneous hostess who takes the time to show you around and point out the facilities. Everything in order.

Tips for new guests?
The wind turbine in the yard is "present" but does not really disturb.
If you bring a sweet or small bite of meat for Jeffie (doggy) you have a nice boyfriend for the duration of your stay, but he is certainly not intrusive, but very sweet and well-behaved.

THIS is “camping at the farm”! Beautiful spots on the beautiful, tree-lined yard with lots of privacy! Everything at your fingertips and a beautiful area to explore! Dog “Sjef” was, besides “doorbell”, also a very affectionate companion 😉! We would love to come back!

How was the contact with the host?
The contact with Svenja was excellent! The reservation was arranged quickly after which we kept in touch about the arrival. Very warmly received and extensively informed, at our request, about what it is like to be able to farm in this place in 2022; Educational! Thank you for your hospitality!

Tips for new guests?
Just go try this out!

Nice, small campsite in a rural area. About 15 minutes by car from Lelystad Central Station. From there you can easily take the train (approx. 1 hour) to Amsterdam.
The sanitary container is simple but sufficient. The only thing that takes some getting used to is the sound of the wind turbine, which you eventually stop noticing. All in all a cozy little campsite surrounded by fields and farms selling their own produce.

How was the contact with the host?
The hostess was very friendly and helpful.

Nice place to spend a few days with our camper. Svenja is hospitable and flexible, there was a lot of space for our daughter to play. Beautiful places in the area to go such as Nature Park Lelystad, very nice!

A very friendly welcome and a beautiful view over the fields. Nice seat in the shack for bad weather and plenty to play for children.

Nice people, nice camping spot and a good thing that I had a heated room with a kettle and coffee maker in the bad weather. The sound of the windmill takes some getting used to.

Staying at Svenja's was great. We didn't really know the area, so it was nice to get some close contact. Around the campspace there were very open spaces, wind turbines and tulip fields. Svenja and her family are hard workers, and they seem to enjoy their lives. We had a warm welcome by one of her dogs and one of her cats (Pebbels). The sheep were away on holidays, unfortunately. Great stay for animal lovers.

I arrived on a dark and stormy evening and left in the dark the following only slightly less stormy morning. So no photos and little impression of the rural and otherwise quiet neighbourhood. What I did see was an impressive wind turbine on the property. Great to see green energy being sourced locally. There was plenty of it that night. Host Svenja was very helpful. It will be nice to go back once things are up and running there. Thanks for having me.
