The Vossenhol is a small, cozy campsite in central Portugal; located near the “Serra da Estrela” (the Star Mountains), the highest mountain range of the Portuguese mainland, a beautiful region in a beautiful country. It is a camping paradise in the middle of nature, the ideal place to explore this beautiful area. There is plenty to do or visit depending on everyone's taste and interest.

The "Serra da Estrela", almost 2000 meters high with huge granite stones and unforgettable views, is the perfect landscape for beautiful car or motorcycle trips or beautiful hiking trips using the marked PR tours that cross the entire mountain.
Besides hiking, there is still plenty to do: horseback riding, rock climbing, cycling, canoeing, paddleboard and karting.

There are also a few rivers with picturesque river beaches, ideal for relaxing on hot summer days. In the region you will also find very nice, small, old villages: Meruge (the old center is built on a huge rock), Linhares (has a beautiful castle), Bobadela (Roman arena and interesting olive museum), Piódão (picturesque mountain village completely built up in slate), ...

A few larger towns, about an hour's drive from the campsite, are more than worth a visit: Coimbra (one of the oldest universities in Europe, pleasant shopping streets and old buildings) and Viseu (with its beautiful cathedral, nice shopping streets and a large market every Tuesday).

Mi-Septembre, nous sommes restés 2 nuits au camping où nous avons trouvé un emplacement pour notre grand camper (2.4x6x2.9 m) très facilement.
Les WC and showers étaient propre. La piscine était netyée tous les jours. Près de chaque poste de camping, il y avait de quoi recharger l'électricité du camper. Il était également possible de vider les WC chimiques et de remplir le réservoir d'eau du camper. Nous avons pris un petit déjeuner copieux pour 6 € per personne.

Mieke et les personnes qu'elle employe sont très gentils et serviables. Ils ont le contact facile ce qui a rendu notre séjour encore plus agréable. Thanks to you!

Cancellation Policy

Guests who cancel at least 30 days before check-in date will receive a refund of the amount paid by them (excl. Campspace fees). If they cancel between 14 and 30 days before check-in, they will receive a 50% refund. Otherwise they will not be refunded.
