Welcome to Kattholt - with us, nature, the simple and the creative life are at the center. Here is high ceilings, room for play, the crooked and the imperfect.

Stay in one of our beautiful cabins or in the "sky light" apartments. Wherever you are, you will experience nature and community. Come, relax, have fun, use nature, play.

1) The Simple Living cabin
Our beautiful cabin on wheels and experience how you almost sleep in the trees and have the most amazing view - around the clock!

Here you experience nature up close even if you are inside, as almost the entire front of the cabin consists of large panoramic windows.

And when you sit outside on the wooden terrace, all you see is nature: fields, streams and sky.

Here is a nice bed, good duvets and pillow and a small table. It is kept simple so that the beautiful view of the place really comes into its own.

The cottage has no heat, but even on a cold spring day the sun heats the little house without any problems. There is also no electricity, so enjoy the peace from the off phone (or use the power in the kitchen to charge it).

See common facilities further down in the description.

Remember only the sheet, bed linen, towel and firewood. (Can be purchased on site)

2) The wooden cabin 'Woodhouse' with room for 5
Live the simple, good life in our wooden cabin with a great view!

The cabin is one big room - many cozy nooks and no doors. The best corner of the cabin is the large window sill, from where you can sit and enjoy the view of the forest and see the expensive life that lives in it.

.. if not the view from the outdoor kitchen is even better!

There are a total of 5 beds with a double bed in a nook at one end, a bunk bed in another nook and a sleeper sofa in the living area.

You have your very own area where you even have 2 shelters and a large campfire place that is only yours. We make room here for families who want to go out and spend the night in nature, but where some in the family are for the more hardcore outdoor experience, the rest is for the upgraded version you get in the Woodhouse.

When you arrive, everything is ready for you. So all you have to do is have fun and be with your family / friends.

Remember only the sheet, bed linen and towel - there is a duvet and pillow for all 5.
Firewood can be bought from us or bring your own.

'Woodhouse' has no electricity, heated only by the sun.

3) 'Simple life'- skylight apartment with a view.
Fall asleep with beautiful views of nature and Nørre Ådalen.

4) Simple life - skylight apartment garden view.

Get right down to gear and let the surroundings embrace you. We have cut right down to the bone so that there is only what you really need. All other noise that normally fills in everyday life slips into the background.

We have created the framework for pure relaxation in nature. You live in what we call the simple life apartment as there is neither electricity nor heat - but it is a calm and atmosphere that gives you something completely different.
Try it.

We have furnished with cozy nooks, fold out table and bench, beds on wheels, optimal use of space with recycling mixed with goodies. There are rechargeable lamps as a light source.

There is a patio 20m from the apartments, which you share with the other apartment. Here most people make their meals - over a campfire.
There is a cast iron pot, pan and small pans for bites that can be used.

When you arrive, everything is ready for you. So all you have to do is have fun and be with your family / friends.

Remember only the sheet, bed linen and towel - there is a duvet and pillow. - remember firewood if you want to have fun by the fire ..

- Activities in the area
There is plenty of space for play and activities. For example:

Yoga: Your private wooden terrace is perfect for morning yoga.

SUP-board: There is a river 400 or 500 meters from the cabin, so hop in for a dip or rent our SUP-boards and take a cool trip down the river.

Creative:
You can paint on DIY ceramics and unique turned stoneware while you stay with us. We open up the barn so you can paint and have fun while you are with us. It is open 2 hours a day where we also open the café for something delicious - Kattholt Keramik.
There is plenty of beautiful scenery in both directions from us so we can easily give fif to cool walks or good bathing spots.
Must see is Dołlerup hills and the whole area, Mønsted limestone mines, a dip in Hald lake or a SUP trip from Rindsholm to us.

WE ARE LOOKING FORWARD TO WELCOME YOU!

Do you love nature? To be creative? Getting new experiences? Then you will love our place!

We are a young family of 5 people who own Kattholt and we welcome you with open arms. We love guests, and those who come out to us value the same values as us, and know they are visiting a family with the experiences that now spring from dynamics, which I think can do much more than one every 5 star hotel.

Remember - there are some areas that are private, as we live here ourselves - and with common sense you can see where it is, we are not supporters of sign-land!

We hope you have a great time with us - we see it a bit like a big collective when the summer dribbles, so enjoy the holidays, the surroundings, the people you meet on your way and take care of our lovely home.

We look forward to welcoming you!

Mulle & co.

A really nice place that we could find to visit again. Even though the weather was not with us, we had a great time in the little cabin and had time to relax and enjoy each other 🍬

It can definitely be recommended. Beautiful place 🍀

We have enjoyed a little week all the way down in gear in the middle of the finest nature. Mulle and Lars are enormously hospitable and cozy, and we the small cottage with the beautiful view is simple but delicious.

From the moment you arrive until you leave the place, you are surrounded by tranquility. The place is owned by the sweetest and most welcoming people, so the whole experience became almost like a small adventure. We really only have the best recommendations to pass on. Thank you for having hosts who make it so wholehearted.

Lovely, quirky cottage, really beautiful area. Especially Ø-Bakker! Remember tea towels, dishcloths, kitchen rolls, dishwashing liquid. And buy yourself firewood etc for bonfires. Update your outdoor skills and hope for good weather. Especially in relation to cooking, where the fire can be used to advantage. Zero wifi is zero wifi. SO bring the Plaice Book. We were 4 off. Three at almost 2 meters. So the bunk became mine. Really good shopping opportunities ok close. By car.

It was a supper delicious place, we were there for 2 nights. It was raining and cloudy most of the time, so a covered terrace or something else that you could side under when grilling. Would have been nice, nice family and good advice for what one could experience in the area.
Really nice place which can be recommended

We had a super good trip! The place is perfect for smaller children and there are really nice facilities - have never before taken such a nice shower on a shelter trip :) It is incredibly beautiful, is super cozy and if you start to get bored there are lots of exciting places nearby. We will definitely be back.

Location was fine, host was sweet.
It was a pity that you had to bring firewood yourself, and therefore we did not make a fire. If the opportunity to buy firewood had been there it would have been more optimal.

Really nice little cottage with a beautiful view. Really good toilet conditions. The kitchen you can use is very sparse with service for cooking, but you can easily make a few good meals.
Mulle and her family are super sweet and open hosts.
We had ordered ceramics through their ceramics workshop and had a lot of fun sitting and painting on it - super good activity / entertainment and really delicious products.

Have had a couple of lovely days and nights in Mulle's "House on wheels" / simple living cabin.
Was welcomed by a bottle of white wine in the cart on arrival and Mulle and family were friendly and helpful and were over and greeting.
Small fine details and just a beautiful view over Mark, forest and river. The panoramic windows overlooked the most beautiful starry sky at night and I did not bother to roll the blinds for.
Great option for shower and toilet and a small kitchen if you do not want to cook over a fire or trangia.

Simple Living is a perfect description - in the best sense - for the wonderful night we had! The view from the small terrace was beautiful and we enjoyed the sunset over the surrounding fields and Nørreåen. Even in early April, the cottage was heated by the sun. The toilet and kitchen facilities were good and we could cook simple meals just fine. A nice walk on the path along Nørreåen can definitely be recommended!

We had a fantastic stay, which started out with cosiness to the view, where there was ceramics and a bottle of wine ready. Then walk in the most beautiful nature and enjoy the accompanying campfire in the evening. We made all meals in the associated communal kitchen, which required a little creativity as there are limited facilities. But we enjoyed it!
