Our campspace is a small oasis between the meadows of Midden Delfland, close to the cities of the Randstad. By bike it is 45 minutes to Rotterdam/The Hague, 25 minutes to Delft and Schiedam and the beach is also easily accessible. You can see the skylines of these cities between the trees. At the end of the willow lane you will find our historic farm. You can set up the tent between the fruit trees and the vegetable garden. Enjoy the green landscape with birds, geese, cows, horses, croaking frogs and the fantastic sunrise/sunset (for beautiful photos). The chickens scurry around and lay an egg every morning. Our cats Gijs and Kees and dog Guus are also happy to visit you for a bit of company. The bunnies Dille & Camille love to cuddle. In the herb garden you can pick herbs to make your food even more delicious or to brew a nice tea. There is also a central fire pit for evening fires.

Next to the haystack is our new gypsy wagon with 2 good showers / 2 toilets / urinal / sink and a washing-up area. There is also a shed with fridge/oven/coffee maker/kettle and books and games.
And of course we (Leon and Angela) are there to inform you about the surroundings and things to do.

We have about 5 places and you can choose one yourself. There even is a spot on a small penisula and a fireplace.

Angela loves to cook with vegetables / fruit from the vegetable garden, so who knows, maybe you can join us sometime! Fantastische plek. We waren er maar een nachtje maar toch voelde het alsof we een weekend weg waren. Zo dichtbij de stad, maar toch helemaal in de stilte en het groen. Angela en Leon hebben een super mooi terrein gemaakt met fruitbomen, paarden om het veld heen, hele ruime plekken en super sanitair. Ook de zelfgemaakte taart van Angela smaakte super. Hier komen we zeker nog terug!

Lovely small-scale place somewhere in the meadows between the horses. Nice reception, spacious camping spot. Angela and Leon have created several nice spots on the property where you can sit and enjoy the sunset, for example.

Spent one night in a furnished tent. The grounds are nice. Nice lounge area available. Nice atmosphere, nice and quiet. Other guests were scattered all over the site.

Plumbing was very neat!!! Very nice shower, neat toilets, etc. A big plus!

Nice that the kettle can be used (as long as other guests don't take it antisocially with them to their tent and you walk back and forth 5x expecting it to be put back...)

We knew that the furnished tent would be basic camping. The raised air mattress is fine (if it is not a cold night.) We found the 2 stretchers less comfortable (pit / hammock effect). Our own sleeping mats on the floor sleep better. No use of stove, etc
The only thing that was really disappointing was the condition of the tent cloth: completely moldy (stored damp?). This made it smell very musty in the tent. Not so bad for one night. But for longer stays that would be a turn off for me.

What a great experience it was to camp with Angela and Leon! :-)

I slept in the ready tent. A huge tent with a fixed bed or a double mattress to choose from and nice chairs in front of the door.

The garden surrounding the farm where the campsite is located is beautifully green, with fruit trees and water. The chickens roam free in front of your tent and make it a cozy place.

The area is very beautiful with the old center of Maassluis, Schipluiden and Schiedam within cycling distance. But even more beautiful are the nature areas around the rivers Schie, Rotte and De Vliet.

Making a campfire in the evening was great! Often other camping guests joined inc Angela and Leon.

And if it rained, there was the option to hide under the hay barn or separate common room (which also has two refrigerators). There were also many games for children such as a table tennis table.

The contrast with the surrounding urban area (within cycling distance!) could hardly be greater. This small-scale campsite is located in the middle of the Green Heart, an oasis of greenery and rurality. In mid-August we were able to rent a tent here for a weekend. As real campers, after several camping holidays with our own tent, we didn't feel like packing and unpacking our own tent for a weekend again this year. The rental tent is an authentic De Waard tent of approximately 30 years old for a very reasonable price. Fairly basic (and nostalgic), for us it had its own charm. The campsite is also basic, don't expect a children's disco in the evening or a 25 meter pool during the day. But there are plenty of opportunities to participate on a small scale in activities that the owners offer. Like baking pizzas in a group. A must for the peace-seeking camper. In the green area itself there are many cycling options, furthermore, as mentioned, cities such as Delft, Rotterdam and The Hague are easily accessible by bicycle (or public transport).
