An exceptionally fine and child-friendly campsite in beautiful Groningen. Nice and small and clear. The children had a great time.

Wonderful place for small children. Few places, a plus for us. No busy campsite, no animation, no swimming pool and we think that's fantastic ;-). A nice environment, enough to play in the middle of the field and clean sanitary facilities.

How was the contact with the host?
Good

Tips for new guests?
Nature in Drachten is fun!

Super relaxte sfeer. Kids konden direct spelen met al het uitzicht op ze. Er was een hele schuur vol speelgoed, spelletjes en speeltoestellen. Zeer schoon.

How was the contact with the host?
Perfect. Kwamen zodra nodig, zeer gastvrij en vriendelijk.

The campsite is super neat and the sanitary facilities are basic but good. If you are staying for a while, there is also a washing machine.
Furthermore, Rick received me kindly. In the evening he made a fire so that I could sit nice and warm with the other guests. It is also always nice to get in touch with other guests in this way. The place is ideal for families with children because of all the play equipment, the loft with toys and the environment (Nienoord, Blotevoetenpad etc). But the place is great even without children. Many beautiful cycling and walking routes, nice restaurants and a number of museums (you can contact Rick for tips). I will definitely come back!

The owners took over this location in March 2020 and had to close immediately due to Corona. So they are still 'trial run' and this is their first season. Host Rick regularly walks around to check if everything is to your liking. Plumbing is somewhat outdated but functions well and is kept clean. The places are spacious enough. There is also a group accommodation that uses the field where the mini campsite is located. If it is occupied, it can be quite busy outside. So even though there are only 10 camping places, there can be many more people walking around. We were not bothered by it, but we had not expected this and were therefore somewhat surprised by the activity.
