    4 pitches

Come and enjoy the vast forests here in the Antwerp Kempen. From your camping pitch you have an ideal base for many wonderful walking or cycling trips. If you prefer to enjoy the peace and quiet, you will probably find a nice spot close to or on your camping spot. Ask the owners about the local assets because they are certainly there. For the sporty holidaymaker and/or the quieter, there are many beautiful, interesting places to discover.

On the camping site itself you can find peace and breathe in the wonderful scent of the forest. Would you like an egg and/or a jar of honey or jam for breakfast? Your host and hostess will gladly offer it to you. Most of it comes from our own garden. In the evening you can enjoy the sounds of the forest here: the song thrush with its evening song, a grunting woodcock that flies over and when the campfire is lit you can also hear the tawny owl by the crackling fire. If you have any questions about the possibilities at the camping site, you can always contact the host and hostess.

Grijsberg was originally built as a holiday home for a baron's family. We like to share that fact with others, just like our love for the green environment. We, Christof, Lize and our two sons, would like to welcome you to Gijzenberg.

If you're looking for peace and quiet, you'll find it here! Very nice place on the edge of the forest. We enjoyed ourselves immensely and had the whole meadow to ourselves. A real recommendation to detox for a weekend and enjoy the peace and nature!

How was the contact with the host?
Lize and Christof are very friendly hosts! If we had a question, it was answered immediately and Christof helped us chop wood to make a fire. I can't think of a better host!

Peaceful and beautiful campspace. Basic facilities, water, electricity and compost toilet. Possibility to take a camp shower. Highly recommend.

How was the contact with the host?
Friendly and accessible, they allow campers the space to enjoy in peace

Tips for new guests?
Although I was not bothered by it myself, something against the mosquitoes would be recommended. Maybe it didn't bother me because in an anti-mosquito stick used.

Christof and Lize have a spacious plot where you can stand in the beech avenue as well as on the meadow. We enjoyed the nice and beautiful place in the middle of the forest.
The peace and quiet was a blessing. It was very hot and dry and of course the neighbors will moisten their crops with a water cannon, but we didn't find that a problem at all. Waking up in the morning to a cackling rooster and clucking chickens is a real pleasure.

How was the contact with the host?
We were warmly welcomed and were allowed to choose a spot ourselves. They are a nice and cordial couple, who value the tranquility of campers.

Tips for new guests?
It is a beautiful area for cycling and walking, with the junctions very close.
There is running (cold) water, a compost toilet that does not smell, the sawdust you use smells delicious. There is also no shower.

Bring mosquito repellent or anti-deet. There are relatively many mosquitoes and ticks.

How was the contact with the host?
Very nice contact and a warm welcome. We forgot to bring mosquito repellent and anti-deet . Luckily Lize was kind enough to make this available.

Very nice campspace on a fantastic domain. You enjoy the peace. There is also wood available to make a fire in the evening which is always nice. You can also immediately start walking or cycling from the domain. For a bakery or other shop you have to drive a little further. But a campspace where we will definitely return. Also because of the very nice environment. Recommended

How was the contact with the host?
Lize and Christof are two jovial people who immediately welcome you and immediately make you feel at home. You can always contact them for any questions or information or for a casual chat. Nature and nature experience are also central to them and they pass that on to their two boys. Top

Tips for new guests?
Be sure to go cycling/walking in the wider area. The region around Reusel is very beautiful. The Cartierheide just across the border is more than recommended. We thought the long walk (blue 13 km) in the Hoge Vijvers (can be reached on foot from the campspace) was great. Very nice walk and few other walkers. Super nice environment.

Very nice camping spot in the middle of nature, in the forest. Interesting that there was electricity and a compost toilet. Spacious place where we could choose between a large meadow and a red beech avenue. Great that you could use a fire pit with accompanying wood for the evening. Unfortunately, the rain was a bummer for us to test this out.

How was the contact with the host?
Friendly, helpful and always available.

Tips for new guests?
Definitely do: the Talander walk. Beautiful with different beautiful landscapes, we left on foot from the 'camping space' and this is certainly doable. Do not forget mosquito repellent .... the mosquitoes are abundant there in the woods.

Lize en Christof waren super hosts. Altijd snelle reactie, vriendelijk en bereikbaar. We voelden ons zeer welkom en vereerd dat ze de luxe van dit uitzicht met ons wilden delen.

Tips for new guests?
Google maps wijst je inderdaad naar het verkeerde adres aan een zijstraat van de hoofdweg. Op de fiets of lopend is het dan echt heel ergens anders en dus even zoeken. Navigeren op nummer 80 levert betere resultaten op.
