About this campspace

Enjoy the wide view with lambs and cows 100 meters away, spot the lighthouses of the Wadden Islands in the evening, swim in the Elfstedenvaart, beautiful sunrise / sunset. Natural location, simple facilities, small-scale but spacious.
We like to let more people enjoy our beautiful place located on the Elfstedenvaart between Harlingen and Leeuwarden. An ideal base for making all kinds of trips from here. We are not a real campsite. You can choose a spot upon arrival. The chickens and cat Mormel will welcome you. You can come camping completely basic; with your own tent, no hot water and no electricity to a furnished canvas tent with made beds. All in a beautiful spot in the fruit orchard. There is also room for a small bus camper. Depending on the period, fruit, vegetables and/or herbs are for sale, with a cash box next to it. In Franeker there are supermarkets, (pastry) bakers, butchers, nice fashion shops. A small market on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Don't forget to visit the world famous Planetarium.
10 minutes from Harlingen, 20 minutes to Leeuwarden, If you are on your way to one of the Wadden Islands, it is an ideal stop to spend the night 1 day in advance.

Please bring your own toilet paper and do not leave the toilet dirty. You can get hot water from the shower to wash the dishes. Bring biodegradable detergent such as Klok or Ecover. If you want electricity at your camping spot, take a long cord with you to get to the connection point. If you don't have a place including a hot shower, you can take a shower for 2 euros; pass on how often you've showered and I'll send a little bit. You can use and move picnic tables.
