Camping in our farm garden with your tent. In the outskirts of our (small) village Riethoven, the former hamlet Boshoven. Enjoy being outside, between the farmland and the woods. Quiet and almost silent. Near the wildlife; the roe deer, foxes and bats. You can swim here in our natural swimming pond. Light a fire on the fire pit and BBQ. Nice to do nothing(s).

There is a wide range of activities in the area. We have a mini library if you need reading material. Canoeing is possible on the Dommel, walking areas in abundance; de Malpie, Leenderhei or 't Plateaux. Also good to explore by bike. Climbing on the wall at Neoliet or in the climbing forest, swimming in nature at the E3 beach or inside the Kempervennen in Aqua Mundo. Fishing at the fishing ponds of Riethoven, Westerhoven or Valkenswaard. Or you can hit the snow at Montana Snowcenter. You can also visit the numerous terraces in the surrounding villages. To have a drink or visit a restaurant. Do you want more; ask us and we will show you the way. Bye?!

I am married to Jeroen and we live together with our 2 Leonbergers; Flinne and Mara, in a long gable farm in the hamlet of Boshoven in the small town of Riethoven in the Kempen in Brabant. This has been for over 30 years. We really enjoy our own little paradise on earth. Of all the flowers and plants and animals around us.

Best regards and camping pleasure with us!
Esther and Jeroen

Top spot. After the first acquaintance - in a quiet spot in the garden (it was all to ourselves) - set up a tent ... BBQ was already supplemented with charcoal (very thoughtful of Esther) and then relax on the wooden deck along the swimming pond ... du pain, du vin, du ... no, here it was nibbling BBQ sausages with a glass of wine ... a garden of Eden.

How was the contact with the host?
Nice people who are immediately ready to answer your questions and give good hints.

Tips for new guests?
Bring bikes!!!
Dozing off in a Canadian canoe on the Dommel.
Enjoy the evening in the silence with a flashlight and a good book !!!

After walking through the tiny village of Riethoven, we were greeted at the door by the hostess and two of the biggest, fluffiest dogs we’d ever seen, and offered hot cups of tea and a long, nice chat in their kitchen. We immediately felt at home, the hospitality from them felt completely natural and sincere. The camp is on the hosts’ property, outside the village (completely quiet, almost no sounds of traffic - quite exceptional for the Netherlands), and right next to a horse field and forest with unmarked hiking paths - exciting location for evening strolls. The hosts gave us full access to their huge garden, extra water, tips about local cafes in Bergeijk, and a fire pit - bonus points in the chilly evening! Sanitary facilities were fantastic, and it was extra fun to see the dogs get excited every time we entered the hallway to use the bathroom.

A really homely and comfy experience, with lots of hidden nature around the area to enjoy. Perfect for an offline getaway weekend.

Had a wonderful weekend in the garden of Esther and Jeroen. We were amazed in the beautiful semi-wild garden. We came to complete relaxation very easily and enjoyed the swimming pond.

How was the contact with the host?
The contact was very pleasant, casual and accessible. Esther was there for us if we had questions and for a cup of coffee, but also let us do our own thing.

Tips for new guests?
Leave your phone off, take a drink and a comfortable chair, and be surprised by the silence. You can easily cycle to surrounding villages and the area is worth a walk. Bring some cash for the many (vegetable) stalls along the way. Extra fun: bring an excellent book with you to place or exchange in Esther's mini library!
