About this campspace #s002602
Come camping with us and enjoy peace, space and nature!
Our natural camping site has spacious pitches between fruit trees and berry bushes with a view over the countryside. In the immediate vicinity are various nature reserves where you can enjoy cycling and walking.
The farm has comfortable and clean sanitary facilities and there is a recreation room with books, games and a piano. We sell apple juice from apples from our own orchard, organic fair trade coffee and tea, beer, wine and ice cream.
In the neighborhood are the heathlands Hijkerveld and Witterveld, Fochteloërveen with the cranes, the bird hide in Diependal and forestry Hooghalen. You can swim in the nearby Baggelhuizerplas.
Within cycling distance is Fochterloërveen where nowadays cranes are again and where the snake eagle has been spotted. The forests of Hooghalen forestry are vast and quiet. Spruce and larch define the face. There are also beautiful heathland areas and pools.
You will also find the former Westerbork camp and Radio Sterrenwacht Astron in Hooghalen.
Assen is only 8 kilometers. A visit to the Drents Museum is always worthwhile.
The famous TT circuit is located between Assen and our camping site.
The prison museum in Veenhuizen is also a fun trip for everyone.
Our camping site is car-free. On arrival and departure, the car is allowed to go to the camping pitch.
We also rent out 2 hikers' cabins.
If you come on foot or by bike you will receive a 15% discount. And we pick up pedestrians from the train station.

Camping on a terrain with lots off facilities but still want to feel that you are in nature? That is what I experienced on this camping site together with my nephew. It is a place for campers and tents, and they also have two chalets for rent. In the back of the campsite they have a shielded place only for tents with a view over the meadows. With good weather you can find the cows in the meadow very close to your tent. That is a nice way to wake up. In the farm building they have room for the shower and toilets, but also a place to hang out and lots of games to play. And if you don’t want to hang out on the campsite, there are a lit if nice hiking routes in the surrounding or historical places to visit. You even can pay a visit to a racing track nearby, the TT in Assen.

This was a top spot! Very neat and cosy nature campsite with a nice view. We had private spots because it was quiet. Good service in terms of cleaning, mobile toilet, and hospitality. We took a nice long walk with the dog. There are roe deer and cows in the backyard.
We expect our guests to be quiet, especially between 23:00 and 7:30.
Because we are a nature camping site, the nature camping card is mandatory. It is also available from us (in Het Groene Boekje) and costs € 15.95.
For electricity we charge € 2.50 per day. And for a dog € 2.00.
