Come camp with us and enjoy peace, space and nature. Our nature campsite has spacious pitches between fruit trees and berry bushes with a view over the countryside. In the immediate vicinity are several nature reserves where you can enjoy cycling and walking.
The farm has comfortable and clean sanitary facilities, heated in early and late season. We sell apple juice from apples from our own orchard, organic fair trade coffee and tea, beer, wine and ice cream.
Nearby are the heath areas Hijkerveld and Witterveld, the Fochteloërveen with the cranes, the bird hide in Diependal and forestry Hooghalen. You can swim in the nearby Baggelhuizerplas.
The Fochterloërveen is also within cycling distance, where cranes are present again and where the short-toed eagle has been spotted. The woods of the Hooghalen forestry are vast and quiet. Spruce and larch define the face. There are also beautiful heathlands and fens.
You will also find the former Westerbork camp and Radio Observatory Astron in Hooghalen.
Assen is only 8 kilometers away. A visit to the Drents Museum is always worthwhile.
The famous TT circuit is located between Assen and our campsite.
The prison museum in Veenhuizen is also a nice trip for everyone.
Our campsite is car-free. On arrival and departure, the car is allowed to go to the camping pitch.
We also rent hikers' cabins and a furnished tipi.

We, Woody, Janneke and Stella (7), exchanged the Randstad for the Drenthe countryside in early 2022. Welcome to our beautifully situated Natuurkampeerterrein Laaghalerveld!

Had a really excellent stay in the camper cabin on a bicycle trip up in Drenthe. The campsite is clean, quiet, and rustic. Woody was a great host and we would definitely be happy to stay again.

Very nice campsite.
I had asked for some help with the tent poles and pallets. Woody already came to take a look . And helped me for a while.
The toilet room is very clean. Dishwashing brush, soap and basin even present. Eco. Also very nice.

Camping on a terrain with lots off facilities but still want to feel that you are in nature? That is what I experienced on this camping site together with my nephew. It is a place for campers and tents, and they also have two chalets for rent. In the back of the campsite they have a shielded place only for tents with a view over the meadows. With good weather you can find the cows in the meadow very close to your tent. That is a nice way to wake up. In the farm building they have room for the shower and toilets, but also a place to hang out and lots of games to play. And if you don’t want to hang out on the campsite, there are a lit if nice hiking routes in the surrounding or historical places to visit. You even can pay a visit to a racing track nearby, the TT in Assen.

This was a top spot! Very neat and cosy nature campsite with a nice view. We had private spots because it was quiet. Good service in terms of cleaning, mobile toilet, and hospitality. We took a nice long walk with the dog. There are roe deer and cows in the backyard.
