Close-to-nature Irish glamping site
About this micro camping
Purecamping is a close-to-nature eco-aware site re-connecting guests with nature on the Wild Atlantic Way in Ireland.
It offers an escape from busy complicated lives and attempts to give guests some peace and clarity. Along with its gold standard Ecotourism Ireland recognition, it is an ambassador for the Wild Atlantic Way and won an Irish Responsible Tourism award for 'Best Small Hotel or Accommodation provider in Responsible Tourism'.
Stay in cosy off-grid eco-cabins or in pre-erected furnished or un-furnished canvas bell tents.
Alternatively, there are a number of limited pitches, with the option of being close to facilities or closer to nature in a woodland setting.
Mingle in the fully equipped cosy campers' kitchen and experiment with creating your own wood-fired pizzas with friends and family. Enjoy a steamy session in our new barrel sauna, topped off with marshmallow and star-gazing by the campfire. Sounds like 'smore'.
Pet friendly. Dogs must be on leads.
Facilities include a communal shower block, a chill-out cabin, diy outdoor solar showers, a 10-acre native woodland and a large stone-labyrinth perfect for meditation and reflection.
On-site eco-technology includes an e-car charge point, reed-bed waste treatment system, solar hot water system with wood fire backup, rain-water harvesting system and solar lighting solutions.
On-site Yoga, meditation and masasage. E-bikes for hire.
Kilkee is just 7km from Purecamping, with its Blue Flag beach and amazing cliff walks, as well as a number of good hostelries and restaurants. The fishing village of Carrigaholt is 8km from Purecamping, home to Dolphinwatch Carrigaholt. Carmen's Riding school within walking distance as is our local pier and shore.
