About this campspace #s005540

On the outskirts of Antwerp, a stone's throw from the centre, in the Den Dam district, there is a large piece of wasteland on the former slaughterhouse site, which artists made their field of work and renamed the Archipel site.
Together with local residents and newcomers, they built an urban vegetable garden and a small stage with hanging nets and stands around a water basin: De BabelBühne. This small green oasis, on a dying piece of no man's land, is located between the ring road and the city, adjacent to the Spoor Noord park and coasts the super diverse neighborhood of Borgerhout. In the summer this site is an intimate festival spot, in the autumn, winter and spring you can stay there with your camper and you have your own shower and toilet container. There is a wood stove in the cozy conservatory and a pizza clay oven, which you can use. There is also a sauna in the Pampering Machine, which you can optionally reserve. There is electricity and atmospheric lighting, sun chairs and a fire bowl. Do you have a camper, do you want to explore Antwerp, quietly, close to the center, but in a rough, quirky, artistic environment, then you've come to the right place.
Also check the social media of Archipel Kunstwerkplek to discover if there is something artistic going on on the site!
