Do you want to be completely alone in nature? Then visit the cabin at Aaen. In the middle of the forest with a view of Hover Å.

This small cozy cottage is located on a hilltop with its own terrace. Sit and enjoy the evening together and look out over the meadow and stream. There are beautiful trails around the forest and along the creek. As well as good opportunities for hiking in the immediate area.

The cottage is with electricity, heating and running water. There is access to the toilet in the barn, but no shower. There is a fire pit and cooking utensils for the fire, as well as crockery and cutlery. Firewood is included and eggs from the farm's chickens or beef from the farm's cattle can be purchased.

The cabin is equipped with a bed for 2 people. Bed linen and bed linen can be rented for DKK 100 / person.

It is possible to rent a wood-fired wilderness bath, set up and ready for use when you arrive. Ask when booking.
It is also possible to rent a folding space, so you can bring your own horse. There are good riding opportunities in the immediate area. Ask when booking.

It is only 8 km to Ringkøbing with the cozy city center, several good restaurants and great experiences like Naturkraft.

The North Sea is only 10 km away and cities such as Søndervig, Hvide Sande and Thorsminde offer endless experiences for beach and outdoor life, such as swimming, surfing, fishing and walking by the water. Here is filled with good fish shops and outdoor shops.

If you are looking for longer hiking, riding or mountain biking trips, then Hoverdal Plantation is worth a visit. The large state forest offers hours of nature walks.

The cottage is just right for a couple who need some alternative cosiness. Or just a couple of good friends who want to enjoy the peace.

Practical information:
The cabin contains a 1½ bed, table / chairs, fire pit with grate, cooking utensils for the fire and tableware for two people. The cabin is handed over in a cleaned condition, remember to wash up and empty the rubbish bin after you, so that the cabin is handed over in the same condition as when you received it. If you want to avoid cleaning, a final cleaning can be ordered on arrival for DKK 75.

As your arrival approaches, feel free to write us a message here about when you expect to arrive. Then we / someone is at home to receive you and show you around. We are looking forward to seeing you. Regards Max and Maria.

We stayed for three nights and had a lovely stay in this cabin. Relaxed in de hot tub, made our own fire and cooked on it, swam in the river nearby. Awesome place if you want to flee the city.

How was the contact with the host?
Great, Max and Mario were super friendly, welcoming and helpful.

Tips for new guests?
Make sure you book the hot tub, it's amazing.

We spent the night from Monday to Wednesday in the cabin with our 1-year-old son. We had an incredibly pleasant trip. The cabin was very clean, the bed good, and lots of coziness.

How was the contact with the host?
The host greeted us on arrival and showed us around. We felt very welcome. I had forgotten to order bed linen and it was resolved in no time. We were also offered a mattress for the little one.

Tips for new guests?
We had brought all our usual cooking utensils (for shelter trips), which was completely unnecessary. A good cooling option is better, as you can easily spend many days on site. There are many experiences nearby. We look forward to visiting the cabin again!

My boyfriend and I had 2 really lovely nights, in the little cottage by the creek.
The cottage is surrounded by trees and is secluded from the farm, where in addition to a few cute owners, there were dogs, horses, cows and cats that you could greet.
Simple but really nice cottage.
We cooked over a campfire both evenings and took a walk in the creek.

How was the contact with the host?
The owners were really hospitable and friendly.

Tips for new guests?
There is no fridge, so feel free to bring food that should not be stored too much in the fridge. However, we managed to have both butter and cheese in a freezer bag without any problems!

Huge warm recommendation from here!
This cozy place is secluded in green, beautiful surroundings, with both forest, river and beautiful views of the fields - where you can be lucky to see the crowned deer walking and grazing.
My friend and I have had an absolutely fantastic stay here, where we had ample opportunity to unfold in nature with mixed campfire coziness, walks in the woods, talk to the animals and not least enjoy the beautiful view from the wilderness bath. As the sun went down and the weather got a little cooler, the little cabin offered reading, games and a good night's sleep!

How was the contact with the host?
At the very top. Very welcoming and friendly people who offer the help you need.

Tips for new guests?
We had brought a Trangia which we used in the morning to boil water and make eggs so we would not have to light the fire again.

We had a lovely weekend in the little primitive cottage! It is equipped with the most necessary and is ideally located.

How was the contact with the host?
Really good and we got the necessary knowledge and help.

Tips for new guests?
Bring some extra clothes if the weather is cold and a Trangia set is good if you do not want to wait to light the fire for a cup of coffee.

If you want peace and need to be yourself, then this is a true gem. We had such a nice and cozy time with a bonfire in the evening and the peace by the beautiful Å. Ringkøbing is a lovely town with many shopping opportunities. We ate at hotel Ringkøbing two evenings and had a nice butter-fried Plaice Eggs and potatoes could be bought in stalls along the country road.

The cabin by the river Aa is located in a really nice and idyllic place, where it is not far to wonderful breakfast! You can swim in a small lake if you want.
My friend and I got some help and talked to one host Max.

The downside of the place is that the bed is not quite big and then it is insanely hard. We could barely lie in bed.

Here, an upgrade could well happen 100%.

I personally think there are too many acquisitions and it is too expensive.

Super nice and quiet place. Maria and Max are simply so sweet and hospitable 🌞 You have to be ready to cook over a campfire and have some nice, primitive days. The cabin does not fail anything and the nature around is beautiful! We will definitely come again 😌

Cozy cottage in peaceful, scenic surroundings. The place is obvious if you are a couple who thrive in nature and need peace. You have 'own' forest and a bathing-friendly river, and in the cottage there is water and everything you need to cook over a campfire. In the barn there is a toilet (150 m from the cottage), but no shower, which you just have to be aware of.

The hosts are friendly and helpful and make sure there is firewood. Even if you spend the night in the middle of the quiet nature, there is a short distance to Ringkøbing and Søndervig. All in all, a lovely place that we would recommend to others at any time.

Super cozy place. The hosts welcomed us well and were very sweet and helpful in relation to where you could walk to the area. The cabin was as expected - simple and cozy. We got a wheelbarrow full of fires and had plenty of wood for a cozy fire, where we made brought snobrød and sausages and brought salad! The cottage is located overlooking the creek in a forest. We made the breakfast easily with i.a. eggs we could make on trangia as there was both service and running water. Definitely recommendable place.
