The Roderijk is a surprising and private piece of land, from the road you cannot see the secrets behind the row of trees. When you enter the piece of land your breath will be taken. A stone's throw from the Holterberg and cycling distance from Deventer, this unique place is located in the countryside in a beautiful part of the Salland landscape. A nice place to spend the night if you are passing through.

The Roderijk is a piece of land that we enjoy!
We would like to share this with people who are in the area for a short time and are looking for a place where they can rest for a while or want to get out of their daily grind. A lot is allowed, but everything in consultation. Do you want a campfire ... we tell you where the wood is and you enjoy an evening by the fire with family and friends.

Beautiful, green and spacious place, with sheep, chickens and fruit trees on the property. Excellent sanitary facilities and a very friendly welcome.

How was the contact with the host?
Easily accessible and host responds quickly

Tips for new guests?
There may be mosquitoes, so I would bring a stuff against this just to be safe.

A beautiful, spacious, quiet and green location, although you can hear the road. The sanitary facilities are very simple.

How was the contact with the host?
The communication with Machteld about the reservation was fine. She answered quickly and clearly. I was received very hospitably by Roderick, although I was a little later than I had indicated.

We had a wonderful relaxing time in the tree house. Everything was shown to us on arrival, furthermore we had our own place with our own natural toilet. The bed is small and cozy but very comfortable. The view from the tree house is beautiful. Really a must to experience.

How was the contact with the host?
The contact with Machteld was great, all questions were answered in advance and we were given a tour on location and we could send a message if there was anything.

Tips for new guests?
We could hear the road well, and in the morning the sheep were awake early. Earplugs are recommended for light sleepers. Due to the many windows, a mask for your eyes is also recommended to take with you. For the rest, it sometimes changes how many mosquitoes there are, so mosquito spray is recommended if you like to sit outside.

The contact with the host was very friendly. She was not present when we arrived but we were given a good description of where to go. Later in the day she came to welcome us and we had a friendly chat. We had a nice stay.

The camping spots were very nice! The owner was cordial. The sheep were very funny. Glad you could use the fridge, etc

Still found the micro camping expensive for what you got (we have never had such an expensive camping and have been camping for 35 years anyway!)

There was a toilet, sink for washing dishes and shower in 1 room without doors. In addition, this space was placed in a bus shelter, which in itself was very original, only everyone saw you sitting and or showering. Something not everyone is looking for. So next time put it in the info. Or better yet, make sure that these 3 spaces are separated and well camouflaged so that you don't stand in your bare ass. (especially in the evening when it was dark with the light on.....)

Our stay at Het Rodenrijk was so much fun! I will definitely give them 5 stars. The treehouse was gorgeous, way prettier then the pictures on campspace. Roderik and Machteld were also so kind for us and gave us a lot of freedom on their place. Even though it was really fun we also talked with them about the fact that it's not a place for people who love luxury. If you don't expect anything (like we did) then it's so great!

We had a wonderful weekend in the tree house of Machteld and Roderik. We really enjoyed the beautiful nature. The tree house itself was furnished super cozy and had a large window through which the morning sun woke you up. In the evenings we made a campfire on which we could barbecue and on a clear night we have seen all the stars in the sky. This weekend we really came closer to nature, ourselves and each other and Machteld and Roderik were extremely thoughtful, hospitable and helpful.

I would recommend anyone to stay here!

Everything went very pleasant from the beginning. Quick and easy contact. We were even warned about the traffic jam on the way. On arrival at the site, we were received warmly and immediately got a tour. What beautiful grounds and a fantastic tree house on the edge of the forest overlooking the adjacent meadows. Early in the morning, you wake up to the light shining through the window and the sounds of birds. In the evening, you can use (after asking) the campfire place. There is a separate toilet building on site. We really enjoyed nature, the peace but also the owners. Machteld and Roderick are a special couple who do a lot to make you feel at home. This place will stay with us, it is an absolute must and I think we will come back here sometime.

What a super nice place #hetroderijk is. The enthusiasm during the booking already felt like a warm welcome and on arrival this was again the case. Finding a nice spot was not complicated because the whole site is full of cozy vistas with lots of privacy. Given the heat, the owners tipped us to a nice shaded spot with a nice overview of the terrain. Camping is nice
basic with a beautiful ☆☆☆☆ fire place with BBQ grill.
In short, really recommended! We will definitely come back.

We slept wonderfully in the tree house. Beautifully made! Tastefully decorated. Camping, but different. Really get away from home. The bed seems a bit on the tight side if you’re not a size 36. Quiet place with squirrels and bird sounds. The estate is on a main road. Easily accessible. A short distance from the beautiful Holterberg and the pleasant village of Holten. Host and hostess are warm and welcoming. This tree house is a must!!

We had a great weekend with Machteld and her husband. We were a group of 6, exploring the many mountain bike trails in the area and cook in the evening, sit by a fire and camp. And for this you’ve come to the right place. A huge garden, with many attractions. Had nice conversations with the host and everything we needed was available. Plenty of chairs, some space in the fridge, very nice fire place, a place to sit in the dry if it rains, and toilet and shower were perfectly fine. Everyone was quite impressed with the place. For mountain bikers: there are beautiful routes around Deventer that you can easily combine and of course you can cycle beautifully on the Sallandse ridge (here you can also combine three routes).

We had a good time in the tree house. We were kindly received by Machteld and were given a whole tour. The tree house was great for sleeping. A good bed and a mosquito net against the mosquitoes was provided. Furthermore, the facilities such as the shower, toilet, and refrigerator were also good. We made a fire every night so we didn’t need a stove. The location is very nice and the place is easily accessible, also by public transport (there is a bus stop on the road). It is also close to many nice places such as Deventer, the Sallandse Heuvelrug, where you can walk and mountain bike, or you can go to the Bussloo lake. Recommended!
