Lovely place in the Peel
About this campspace #s005446

Your host
WillWe have a small charming campsite in the Peel, in front of the door starts a beautiful walk called the "struinpad"
Our campsite is located in a landscaped garden with beautiful paths along small fields and bushes. Hidden in the green is our Vintage caravan "Miss in the green" a beautiful Constructam from 1964, a lovely spot in a corner of the campsite.
Our pipowagen "Poppy" is also located at the campsite, a nice and complete accommodation for two people..
It is wonderful to relax in the evening after an active day with a drink at the fire pit in a cozy campfire place.

A super nice mini-camping! We stayed in the pipowagen, with water supply and toilet nearby. A nice sunny spot with a covered terrace, if you like. The gypsy wagon is small and very cosy. Wonderful beds!
Very nice green area, on the campsite itself and nearby. Lots of fun around you because of birds.

Wonderful place in the Peel”, is a correct description of this mini campsite, after the warm welcome by owner Will, I was able to fully enjoy this weekend.
The mini campsite is well maintained and equipped with all the simple amenities. Neat showers and toilets, climbing and play equipment for families with young children. Several campfire places, and quite a lot of animals; a goose, chickens, bucks and even several ponies. And then I haven't even mentioned the many (predatory) birds that also know how to find this beautiful natural environment. In addition, the campsite has a semi-open 'living room' for general use, also ideal in bad weather.
I myself was allowed to experience the luxury of the vintage caravan 'het juffertje' for a night. This old refurbished caravan is in very well maintained condition. It does have some small rust spots here and there, but what do you want from a caravan from the 1960s. The caravan is located in a somewhat more green secluded corner of the campsite. The caravan is equipped with every luxury, think of a gas stove, refrigerator, plates, mugs, pans, cutlery - although I did miss a good cutting knife for the vegetables, luckily I had my pocket knife with me - and even a matching vintage radio, all are present .
The caravan site also has the luxury of having its own private hammock and toilet with sink (also in matching vintage style). An ideal place to isolate yourself from the rest of the mini campsite.
There can be a bit of cold wind on the outside terrace of the caravan, but you can of course dress for that, or decide to go inside, because there is also a very spacious seating area inside. If you prefer cosiness, you can go to one of the fire places where you can stare into the flames until the late hours (there is plenty of firewood available locally) or like me with Linda and Jeroen (the only other camping visitor this evening) have profound conversations and exchange ideas, of course all pleasant while enjoying a drink.
There is also plenty to do in terms of excursions, for example I thoroughly enjoyed myself during a 13 km walk on the signposted 'Struinpad', less than a 10-minute walk from the campsite. The route has several crossing routes so that you can also shorten the route. I can certainly recommend the coffee with cake, or (for a little later in the day) a delicious lunch at the picking and tea garden 'in the 7th heaven', I was also received super friendly there. In addition to walking, a canoe trip or cycling through this same beautiful area were of course also possible!
