Would you like to relax or be active? You can do both in our 2.3 ha forest. There is only one camping spot in the forest at a time. A unique place for you alone or with a group in a beautiful forest. The landscape offers a variety of different tree species and there is a young food forest. There is a survival run course where you can practice your survival skills (your safety is your own responsibility!). You can also enjoy walking or cycling to the nearby 'Cadettenkamp', this beautiful drifting sand area, which is part of the Teteringse Heide, or to nearby towns such as Breda, Dongen or Dorst. There is an official mountain bike route through the Teteringse forest, which is one of the best entertaining routes in Brabant. Our forest is securely fenced in, so that no pedestrians or cyclists pass by. There is a nice compost toilet in our forest and a fresh water tap, which is 200 meters away. You can make a small fire in the designated fire pit and use branches that are already on the ground. You can pick fruit from the young food forest, but do so in moderation and only pick what you need! Please take the waste with you on departure or deposit it in the waste bin. Smoking is not allowed on site due to possible forest fires.

Welcome! My name is Samantha Pellicaan-Dik, 46 heights young, together with my husband Quillermo we are the happy owners of a large piece of forest. We love to share this beautiful forest with nature lovers. I run my own company, SaPeDi, where I make beautiful products from the pruned wood that is in the forest. I also give workshops in the forest, such as forest bathing and meditation. My husband, Quillermo, is a fairly fanatic survival runner himself and has built an entire run course with pruned trees. In 2019 we planted an entire food forest, which is still growing and to which we spend a lot of love and time. It's very nice to be in the woods, who knows, you might hear and see our buzzard!

Incredibly beautiful place in the middle of the forest, where you can really feel all alone for a while. The fire pit is very nice and safe to start a fire in and the toilet is neat and eco-friendly!

Nice camping for a few days in a nice piece of forest. In the morning we were treated to a bird concert and playing squirrels. The forest is not big, but just big enough, and the area is great for walking.

Don't forget to bring something to get water at the water tap. That is not on the site itself.

One of the few places in NL where you can really camp 'wild' WITH the opportunity to make a fire (in most places that is now prohibited). Beautiful piece of forest in a nature reserve where you can stay undisturbed. A fence and bushes protect you from the many mountain bikers and hikers that pass by.

How was the contact with the host?
Samantha was very generous and friendly. We thought that we had to stick to the usual times (from 15.00 and before 11.00), but this is just in consultation. Once on site, she gave us a tour through the forest and since my son showed interest in the survival track, he spontaneously received a lesson in technique from the man of the house. All very relaxed and friendly.

Tips for new guests?
- There is a water tap 400m from the forest. So you don't necessarily have to bring your own water like we did, but an empty jerry can is enough.
- There's real bows of deadwood.
- The compost toilet has toilet paper.
- There is a bench and a fallen tree around the fire pit. So you have a seat.

Lovely piece of forest. It is a beautiful experience to be alone in this place. This gives a certain peace. Nice that there is a fire pit and enough wood to gather. We went camping with a hammock ourselves and there are plenty of options to hang it up.

Top camping spot! We were also lucky to be here with a full moon, so there was extra light. Place is easy to find, for us the only "pity" is the lighting of the gas station 500-700 meters away. On the other hand, it also somehow has its charm that you have the idea that you are camping "illegally" in the wild.

Extra nice is the fact that you are the only guest on the camping site, so you can get away romantically for a few days here with a campfire option!

Beautiful piece of forest with a lot of nature loving marks from the owners. Such as there own little shitake farm and everywhere young baby trees to improve the diversity. You can tell that the owners have put a lot of energy and time to make it this great. Unfortunately they had no facility to do our dishes and the highway was a bit to close.

How was the contact with the host?
Communication was fine.

Nice spot, I'm very curious when all the new plantings have grown. The highway is 300 meters so you can hear it well in the beginning. After a while you don't hear it anymore. It is 15 min there and 15 min back if you go to get water so take some bottles with you. Enjoyed 2 days between the trees and in the evening sat by the fire.

How was the contact with the host?

Very nice experience. You have the forest to yourself. There is a fire pit. We were allowed to use herbs from the herb garden. The eco toilet is clean (and very nicely made). The survival course is fantastic (although we have to go back ourselves to try it out). Samantha gives meditation classes in the forest. She takes her time and you get a lot of personal attention. Enough ingredients for a few wonderful relaxing days. Recommended!

What an experience to be alone in the forest. You really have the feeling of being wild camping legally. And if only we loved that. It is a site with different vegetation and a beautiful campfire pit where you can make a fire to your heart's content. In other words, a top site which, on the other hand, is a bit too close to the highway. But you can get over that monotonous sound. At least we live in a country where we have to share everything. Either we will definitely come back.

How was the contact with the host?
Samantha is a lovely woman who showed her terrain with great pride and passion. She had all the time for us and is very hospitable.

How was the contact with the host?
Samantha responds quickly and is a great host. She also gave me a very thorough intro of their property, the garden, plants, trees, hiking ideas, etc.

A unique and special location! We have always wanted to sleep in a piece of forest without being afraid that the forester will come out from behind a tree. With Samantha, that dream has come true!

Your own place in the middle of the forest! If you're not averse to walking for some water and not averse to being dirty (no shower), then this is a wonderful place!

The highway is audible, but it didn't bother us for a moment. You can wake up in the early morning by cycling mountain bikers who like to have conversations at high speed and therefore cycle over the paths screaming.

Beautiful camping spot on a private (and fenced) forest plot.
Nice that there is a (compost/sawdust) toilet.
The owners try to enjoy the forest in all kinds of ways through active forest management, creating a food garden and, last but not least, by building a real official survival course.
The nearby motorway unfortunately gives a background noise, and the mosquitoes unfortunately did not leave us untouched. But yes, that's nature too.
All in all, a nice camping spot on a beautiful and secluded forest plot. You have a wonderfully free feeling.

How was the contact with the host?
Fine, we were well and actively welcomed and guided around the site.

Tips for new guests?

What a super nice place! Here you camp in a beautiful piece of diverse forest that you have to yourself for your overnight stay(s). I think that the feeling of wild camping in the Netherlands (which is unfortunately not allowed) comes closest here. We had only booked one night, but would have liked to stay longer anyway.

How was the contact with the host?
Good! Samantha responds quickly to text messages and was ready to give us a tour of her piece of greenery. Very nice to know more about the place where you are going to sleep and what is there and to see in terms of nature.

Tips for new guests?
Especially: go here if you like that into the wild feeling. Here you sleep completely without other guests and not directly in someone's garden, so it cannot be compared with other campsites or camping spots in the Netherlands. In the evening, make a fire in the campfire pit with collected wood and during the day take a walk or relax with your camping equipment. Just book ;-)

Weekend camping in the woods. Beautiful grounds and very nice (walking) environment. In the forest received extensive explanation about the trees and the (food) forest. The forest was not yet ripe for food, but I did discover a huge amount of raspberries nearby. Can you find them too? Tip: a piece of heath on the left at the entrance of a forest. Worth it not just for the raspberries. Also spotted a buzzard pair in/around the forest. A nice addition could be a watchtower. On Sunday I also did a meditation in the forest with a personal and nice guidance and setting.
On my first day there were campers present who made more noise than I expected. That was a pity. But I consider this an incident. Not common in my opinion. I'd love to come back!

After she and her husband left We got the fire going in no time and we prepared a stew that we'd let simmer over the flames for a couple of hours while we explored the campsite. The owners were nice and showed me the way to the supermarket which was a bit further up. I do recommend taking a larger water bottle with you, because it's a short walk to the pump.

There was also a fire pit. You can go mountain biking very well, lots of trails and a beautiful area. to do this.
Definitely recommended for a walk in the dunes.

The only point was that I found it a pity, is that there is a car along the forest and you hear it now and then. So it is not completely silent. But rarely in Dutch places so...

So nice place!

The private forest of Samantha is the ideal place to spend a few days outside and relax with your family or friends. The only thing you have to worry about is whether the fire is still burning well. I couldn't have wished for a better place in the Netherlands for primitive camping. The area is also beautiful and has enough to offer for a few days of hiking and/or mountain biking. Samantha is also very helpful and responds quickly when you have questions.

It is advisable to bring a large jerry can for water because the tap is a short walk from the site

Super nice place in a private forest! Samantha had given us a nice tour and told us about all the plans they still have, such as the food forest, the shivers they make for the hedgehogs and the abundance of birds that visit the forest. Also present was a nice fire pit with enough firewood which we have made good use of ;-)
The only downside was that there was no toilet facility.

If you are looking for a gorgeous setting for your next primitive camping trip this is the perfect spot! The Campspace offers exactly what we look for when we plan a minimalistic outdoor experience. Situated on a nice stretch of private forest where we could build our tarp shelter with a proper fire pit to keep us warm and to cook our dinner. The Campspace also offers a challenging obstacle course which adds to the survival setting. The surrounding area is also very forested and has great opportunities for hiking and mountain biking. Samantha is a very helpful and friendly hostess. She was very eager to accomodate any specific requests we had and took the time to send us a tip as to where we could possibly go to rent bikes. We had an amazing time during our stay which was far too short to experience and see all of these things. Therefore we would be eager to come and visit this place again soon!

A quiet getaway to reconnect with nature

I had a very relaxing stay in the middle of the woods, surrounded by trees, squirrels and a lot of fresh air. A perfect place for a quiet getaway and to reconnect with nature... Samantha was a very open and kind host who showed me around the site when I arrived. She gives mediation workshops in the forrest as well if you are interested. I will revisit this campspace again whenever I feel the urge tot escape the fast life.
