Would you like some days in complete peace? A place without internet, TV and PC? A place with the opportunity for recreation with beautiful walks, sauna and immersion? So take a look at our little cabin, the idea is to make room for just that!

- The cabin is built according to old traditions and only with the help of hand tools such as axes, planers, chisels, hand drills and saws.

- Only natural oil products have been used for external and internal maintenance. Natural insulation with moss and wood fiber.

- Service, furniture and fixtures are primarily recycled found at local flea markets.

- Mattresses, duvets and bedding are exclusively natural, allergy-friendly and organic.

Room for 2 - bring your own equipment and you can be 4:
The cottage is furnished and equipped for 2 people, which means one double bed on the loft, crockery, 2 armchairs and 2 dining chairs.

If you also want to be more, you must bring relevant equipment for it, such as sleeping pads and sleeping bag. A maximum of 2 more can be physically arranged in the living room.

Bed linen, towels, tea towels and cloths are NOT included. However, it can be purchased for DKK 150, if you as a hiker do not want the extra pack. Just let us know when booking and we will put it ready in the cabin (payment is made separately after booking).

There is a small kitchen with two hotplates, mini oven, kettle and refrigerator.

There is also a toilet and shower in the cottage.

Sauna:
The sauna is, like the cottage, hand-built and oozes far away of coziness and relaxation. Enjoy the scent of the essential oils added to the water and scooped in addition to the hot stones on the wood-burning stove. Listen to the quiet crackle of the oven as you look up at the sky through the skylight. Go outside and lie in the icy water in the bath and feel the blood pump through your veins before you go back in for the next round ...

With polite self-service, the sauna can be used freely for a fee of DKK 200.

It must be lit up 2-3 hours before the planned sauna session and have added firewood every 20-30 minutes until it reaches 75-90 degrees.

Hærvejen - and other hiking routes:
Hærvejen goes right past the cabin and is thus an obvious place to settle down for the night if you are on a longer pilgrimage on the Jutland ridge.

In addition, you can find good hiking routes around the Gudenåen and Skjern Åen springs, at Rørbæk lake (5 km. South of the cabin) and at Hampen Lake (5 km. North of the cabin).

House Rules:
- Pets are not allowed.
- Smoking is not allowed.
- Cosiness is very much allowed! :)

Completed authentic cottage, in a cozy backyard with tranquility and good atmosphere. There was everything one needed in the cottage and we had 3 good nights

How was the contact with the host?
Sweet helpful hosts who gave a great welcome

Tips for new guests?
A walk out of the army road path and past Rørbæk lake is definitely recommended, and otherwise just enjoy the surroundings and the atmosphere of the place. We would definitely recommend it to others on tour

We had the pleasure of staying one night in this small gem. We were four people. two kids at the hems and two adults on the floor next to the fireplace. It was a fantastic experience and surpassed our expectations. This cabin is super cozy and romantic. We recommend it and will most likely come back.

How was the contact with the host?
Excellent. Fast and Efficient.

Tips for new guests?
The Cabin is really well equipped. A small oven, fridge, cooker and a very nice bathroom with a shower. Grocery store is really close by.

An absolutely fantastic experience in a lovely and very beautiful cottage.
The cottage smells of wood and offers everything from outdoor life to indoor cosiness.
The host couple are incredibly sweet and helpful with lovely walks.
The heart trail goes past the cottage and is a lovely walk.
The sauna was nice to use in the evening.
There is a lack of outdoor lighting in the evening outside in front of the cabin as it is very dark and stairs up to the cabin.
The place can be highly recommended.

The nicest / most beautiful cabin I have seen.
The smell of wood in the cottage which made it all a wonderful experience of outdoor life.
The host couple were incredibly sweet and welcoming.
Since I am hiking they helped with lovely trails.
The heart trail goes right by and is also a lovely walk.
All in all, an absolutely fantastic experience in beautiful nature.
Take evt. a lamp for outside in the evening when it was very dark by the hut and difficult to see the stairs.

The cabin was cool - meeeen ... I had not expected the hosts' private home to be right up and down the cabin.
Had we been prepared for it, we would have booked differently.

The mattresses were clear of the thinner ones, of the sort! If you have back problems, this is not the place.

The finest cottage with a nice atmosphere. We visited the two adults and two children, and had a lovely visit and walk on the army road.

Super nice cottage! There is what you need, with both water, shower and toilet. Close to shopping and beautiful nature! Our visit was in July, so we did not need to use the wood stove, but could easily imagine how cozy the cottage can also be in the cold months.
Great recommendations for walking routes and practical info from the sweet hosts!

We had a lovely overnight stay in this nice little cottage. Incredibly sweet hosts. Completely undisturbed and private small space in front of the cottage with a view of the forest, perfect for enjoying a quiet morning with a cup of coffee alone. Completely complete cabin experience, and with a nice and delicious bathroom in the cabin, nothing was missing. Very special place and experience.

I chose the place because it was right by the army road. The cottage was so nice and cozy and is perfectly located in nature and in a very charming area. The hosts were sweet and helpful. A place I could well imagine returning to!

Fantastic idyllic wooden cabin for 2 (you can also be 1 or maybe 2 per. With children) But best suited for couples or alone.

The facilities are really nice - simple but nice.
It is located at the end of the landlord's garden - Lovely private - They keep to themselves, but are friendly and welcoming.

There is an associated fire place that can be used.

We will definitely come again. Can be used summer and winter (there is a wood stove)

The time is negligible! Because when you breathe in the wood from the beams, and keep an eye on the little birds that fly in and out of the branches of the trees, all other hustle and bustle and wonderful everyday life is just a little further away ... We had a nice twosome just a day, and that was enough to miss the kids at home. Sweet landlords

The perfect little cabin getaway! Everything about this cabin is cozy and relaxing, from the little details of interior furnishings to the view from the front door towards the woods and sauna. A perfect place to recharge your batteries and enjoy nature. Stayed there during mid of June but will be sure to come again during autumn / winter to enjoy the cozy fire and sauna. Highly recommend.

The most beautiful, most beautiful cottage. Everything is made in complete style and yet it is almost luxurious relationship with nice big bath and good ceiling height on the loft.
We have nothing but roses for this beautiful cottage 😊
