Very nice and beautiful place. The garden is very well organized, trees, flowers, grass, even the birds are all synchronized to help you have an unique experience.

How was the contact with the host?
Jan is very friendly and easy likable. He offered a hot cup of tea upon my arrival with very delicious cake. He's considerate and thoughtful. Im sorry that I couldn't say goodbye before my departure, Jan. I waited for a while but I had a long way to hit and needed to leave as soon as possible. But this means I definitely should come back :)

Thanks a lot for your kindness.

A green oasis. Rest with a capital R. Very welcoming. Like camping with good friends.

How was the contact with the host?
Very welcoming (coffee on arrival), friendly and helpful. At the same time, Jan gives you plenty of space. Everything is allowed. Including picking plums from the tree and herbs from the garden for the home-cooked meal.

Tips for new guests?
Walk into the meadow and enjoy the starry night. It's really dark here. Sneek within cycling distance, walking in the area and the IJsselmeer is nearby. A really lovely place!

We enjoyed our stay with Jan. Beautiful garden with covered terraces and beautiful views of the Tirns farmlands. A place where you can relax. It is located in "the middle of nowhere" but still central to explore Friesland from there. Cycling, walking or by car.

Jan is a warm, caring and friendly host. You quickly feel at home. He does everything to make your stay as pleasant as possible. He is always ready to help you with anything.

Already curious by the stories in the reviews, we were still surprised by the spontaneous Jan. He does everything he can to make you feel comfortable. Cup of tea or coffee and a sprig of rosemary to take home. Also ask him about the walk that starts in the meadow behind the house.
A must for those seeking tranquility!

We were very kindly received by Jan. He had warned us that he had room for a small camper. Ours was slightly larger than expected (7.5m) this is actually too big for this very beautiful place. The weather was fantastic and the facilities are fine. The garden is beautiful and very quiet with a wide view. Quite remote You can use Jan's toilet and shower. It is ideal for people who want a very quiet place. We only heard the wind and the occasional bird when the wind was a bit calmer.
The place is fifteen minutes by bike from a supermarket and about 5-6 km from Sneek.
Thank you Jan for your kindness and openness. We enjoyed you, the place and Friesland!!

How was the contact with the host?
Awesome

Tips for new guests?
Campers up to 6.5 m can turn in here relatively easily. Bigger is a challenge

It was so nice with Jan that we stayed an extra night. It was all right on arrival; Jan was ready with homemade pizza and in the morning he had the coffee ready. John is very hospitable. Kitchen, bathroom, we were allowed to use everything.
His garden is beautiful too! Wide views over the fields on all sides, full of trees and plants that he has planned himself and full of small birds. An amazing sunset every night was the icing on the cake!
We were allowed to use the electric bicycles. We made a nice trip along Sneek, IJlst and Heeg.
Tige tank Jan, we'll get back soon!
