Reviews

Daryl and Ilva recommends this place

On the outskirts of Aachen stands the house of nature-conscious Rainer. We are received in his cozy house and receive fresh mint tea from his garden. We were able to pitch our tent in the garden near his house. But he also has a garden just outside the city, which is more in nature. On his advice we drive a little to the other garden. After putting the car down, we enter a large garden through a wooded area that is bordered by a hedge on one side and a flowing stream on the other. On the campspace is a BBQ, campfire place, and picnic tables that you can use. Rainer is a handy man, he himself built the ecotoilet, a shower and the house and installed running water from a local source. The facilities are basic with a lot of respect for nature. The charming old Kornelimünster is a 10-minute walk away, where you can eat on the terrace, drink a delicious German beer or get an ice cream. In the evening we listen to the birds and they can also be heard and spotted in the morning. The garden has been left as natural as possible to get the birds close. Rainer says that he has special garden chairs to admire nature around you in warm weather with feet in the stream and a beer in hand. We will definitely come back to experience this. The area is cycled and hiked a lot, so the Eifelsteig practically runs past the Campspace.
