About this campspace #s003761
Staying between authentic standard apple and pear trees with only sheep and bulls as neighbors. Lounge on the private beach or cool off in the swimming pool or the Hollandsche IJssel. In the meantime, the hares are running across the grass. Light a fire and roast some marshmallows. During the season you pick your own fresh apples, pears and blackberries. You also have access to an (open) outdoor shower and sink, both with hot and cold water. In addition, it is possible, for a fee, to use a porta potti, a refrigerator or a bicycle (*). In bad weather it is possible to take shelter under cover. In order to allow our guests to enjoy the surroundings in peace, we do not rent out more than 2 places for 2 people each.

Meet Hilde & Michiel, your host

Our first experience with a micro camping was great, we quickly left the city for 2 days and came to rest at the camping of the friendly Hilde & Michiel. Laze in the hammock between the apple trees and sit by a campfire in the evening. A very beautiful and spacious place to enjoy yourself, highly recommended!

Céline and I loved our stay with Michiel and Hilde. They were very welcoming, even providing us with BBQ tools when they heard we would use their little BBQ to have our first BBQ of our own! We really felt at ease. From the back of the garden you couldn't even really see the house, just hear some kids from the neighbors having a blast in the water and some little boats pass by, which adds to the summer feeling. There was shade, sun, water, campfire, a hammock, everything you need to enjoy yourself. We will definitely go back!

We really enjoyed our overnight stay at this campspace. A quiet place in the orchard surrounded by the greenery of fruit trees, with enough places to sit quietly. There is also the possibility to rent a toilet in a tent.
In short: hospitality, tranquility and fully equipped

A lovely place to relax for a few days. Hilde and Michiel are very friendly and hospitable people, who like to share their beautiful orchard with others. You can stand anywhere in the orchard. In the back, it is very quiet and you can walk to the river. You are close to the beach which the owners have created with a swimming pool, outdoor shower, fire pit, and BBQ. There is always only one other guest, so you are comfortable on your own. Oudewater is a beautiful old fortified town, where it is nice walking. In the vicinity of the campsite, you can enjoy cycling along the water. Recommended!

I recently camped with Hilde and Michiel. They were very hospitable and helpful! The garden is adjacent to the water where you can take a refreshing dip. The garden is also so deep that you can hardly see the house anymore; you really imagine yourself in your own piece of paradise on earth. Many hares run through the garden and you wake up to the sound of birds and sheep. I will definitely come again to this beautiful and cosy place!

Beautiful large garden, you can choose where you want to stand. Hilde and Michiel are very hospitable. The pool is nice, but a dip in the Ijssel in the morning is even better (watch the current). You can also use the BBQ and make a fire (unfortunately we could not because there was a thunderstorm and rain). The house is located along a road that you can hear, less in the back of the garden and not at all during the night. We saw a lot of hares in the garden and the lambs and bulls on the meadow next to it are also great company. You can rent a porta potti and the outside shower works fine! With warm water! A very nice place!!! We enjoyed it.

The hosts were super friendly. When we arrived they were there to welcome us and explained the things we needed to know. We were free to pick a spot to put up our new tent. The location is humongous and absolutely beautiful. The old orchard with pear and apple trees is adjacent to the IJssel, a river where you can swim (tip: do it). The hosts created a kind of beach which gives you the look and feel if you are on a little beach somewhere. It has a fire pit and a little bbq, all free to use. The hosts are friendly and easily accessible. They checked out how we were doing, a couple of times and gave us some tips. There is cattle like cows and sheep in the meadows nearby, which makes you feel you're really a long way from home and in a different area. There is a village nearby which is old and very well-manicured, all buildings restored, lots of places to eat and drink. Although a little touristic a must go to.

We had a great stay at Michiel and Hilde's place. The camp spot was really nice amongst the fruit trees. We ate all our meals by the water on the provided picnic table which was perfect. We enjoyed having a nice swim in the evening as well. The chemical toilet was a great addition to add some creature comfort.
