The tent spot is very pleasant. There is a lot of shade, so the tents don't heat up even when there is a lot of sun. There is a paved area where it is safe to have a BBQ or make a fire in the fire pit. In addition, a stable, large table and enough chairs. The scenery is beautiful, on one side a small forest, on the other side a sheep meadow.

How was the contact with the host?
The hostess is extremely friendly, courteous and flexible, the communication in advance worked smoothly. Thanks very much!

Unfortunately, it turned out at short notice that we could not get a tree tent. But Silvia was very accommodating to us with an overnight stay in her tent. That was also very nice :-) the place is right next to the forest and a meadow with sheep. Pure nature and good for coming down for city dwellers.

How was the contact with the host?
Contact was easily possible via What's App. Silvia was very easy to reach with questions and very helpful

Lovely peaceful back to basics camp spot amongst lovely trees and bordering fields. Very lovely host and friendly husky greeted us. We had a cosy campfire and watched the bats at dusk. Recommend to anyone who is looking for a peaceful night in nature.

How was the contact with the host?
Sylvia was great and got back very promptly to our messages

Very warm and welcoming family in a nice and cozy forest. I had a good night sleep, sometimes listening to the little creatures in the forest and the campsite had everything I needed.

How was the contact with the host?
Very good communication. I even found them in a town nearby and gave me extra tips on what to check out.

Silvia gave us a warm welcome with homemade cake and her sweet daughter. The compost toilet is spotless, flowers everywhere and attractive rugs.
The tour of the vegetable garden, dogs and past the chickens was great fun. In the evening we cooked on an open fire and ate on the cozy wooden outside table.
There is no place here for camper (buses). We didn't know that, so she made an exception for our smaller van. It just fit. We left our big bus in the driveway.
If you are traveling with a tent, this is highly recommended!
You have unobstructed views and really feel like you are in the middle of nowhere!

How was the contact with the host?
We received a warm welcome from Silvia, she is very sweet and makes you feel like a real guest!

Fantastic! Easy to make appointments with, direct, but also flexible.

A beautiful place very lovingly decorated and designed by Silvia and her family. There are two places where you can make a campfire, with enough wood to keep the fire burning permanently. Silvia even decorated the table and the 'bathroom' (toilet cubicle with mirror, sort of sink, hooks, soap and a towel) with flowers. She even laid a large rug on the floor for our smallest family member.
Only 'but' is that there is no running water. We felt troubled to have to knock on Silvia's door for water all the time, and we had brought extra bottles with us. But if you cook, wash your hands, do the dishes, make coffee/tea, etc., you will soon be done with it.

How was the contact with the host?
Very good, Silvia is very attentive.

Tips for new guests?
Bring plenty of water bottles/jerry cans.
Go to the Moorwelten museum (with a beautiful playground and a barefoot path) and take the Ströher Moorbahn + Moorpadd.

Visiting the Cozy in the Woods Campspace is a must! Silvia and Benjamin are amazing hosts and their space is very unique. I had a lovely stay in my own tent, however Silvia offers a Teepee tent and tree tents. I enjoyed the full day sunshine and relaxation. I would highly recommend staying here if you are in the area, even if you are not, it is definitely worth the extra travel.

How was the contact with the host?
Upon arrival and during my stay Silvia and Benjamin were extremely welcoming and friendly. They are amazing people who share true passion for nature and traveling. Thank you again for hosting me, looking forward to the next time already.

Tips for new guests?
Bring mosquito protection with you to make your stay even more peaceful. †

The location is fantastic, the owner has welcomed us very nice, she is very kind, she has dogs and some nice animals here and there. The garden is big and very nicely decorated. Breakfast is a must. We definitely want to go back.

The campground was amazing. Back to basic and a good place to unwind. The hostess makes sure you got privacy because she values you being able to relax during your holidays; I was the only one there. Bring your boots because the surroundings are beautiful.

How was the contact with the host?
Easy contact via whatsapp or just come by at the house if you need anything. She is easy going and one night we roasted (veggie) sausages in the campfire with her daughter and dogs for good company.

Tips for new guests?
Bring a container for water so you have enough (drinking)water without having to ask all the time. Take the breakfast, it was delicious!

It was a wonderful 4 day retreat. It is a little paradise, a clearing in a small piece of woodland between the farm and the cornfields. It is very private, you can not be seen from the farm or from the small road. The small camping area has 2 firepits and an wooden outhouse. And details like wood worked seats, flowers and the neatness of the place show that love and care is given to the place.

That somehow was reflected in the animals. There were honking pheasants and barking roedeer just outside the camp, ravens cawing in the trees and a huge hare walked into our campsite. And there are some dogs that occasionaly come take a look, nosy and very friendly beasts.

It is very primitive, which is exactly how we like it. There is a (very clean) outhouse, but no running water. For a drinking water or a shower you have to go to the main house and knock on the door, or whatsapp Sylvia.

How was the contact with the host?
Very pleasant and friendly. Sylvia is fluent in english and she asked many times if we needed anything. We stayed in touch by whatsapp while we were camping, that was very handy.

Tips for new guests?
Because there is no running water outside, it may feel a bit 'dependent' to have to go to the main house for drinking water every day. I would advice to bring plenty of container space for your water, so that you don't have to fill up every day.

Beautiful idyllic place, in the evening you can hear all kinds of animals scratching around the trea tent. All kinds of seating areas have been created. But sleeping together in a trea-tent was not a success for us, especially if you are not used to it and there is also a big difference in weight. Fortunately we could sleep the second night in a tipi tent. One tip for Silvia; put a garden hose to the camping area to fill water bottles and take a shower, that would be nice.

How was the contact with the host?
Silvia is very welcoming and speaks fluent English.
