You won't get any closer to the feeling of wild camping. It is in the meadow, unobstructed views and you have a natural water source.
How was the contact with the host?
Contact was good. They didn't speak English, but everyone from daughter to son got involved to decipher everything. In addition, we had forgotten the key in Kautenbach and they helped us without a doubt and brought us back and forth. Heroes!
Tips for new guests?
There is no drinking water and toilet.

Damien and his family are very nice and welcoming! The space is exactly has described, simple and unique in the middle of nature with some farm animals in the surroundings.
How was the contact with the host?
Easy going and straightforward (better to speak in French, otherwise just use google translator).

What a beautiful quiet cozy place! Clearly in demand, even in November we were not alone, but that has everything to do with the beautiful location.
How was the contact with the host?
Such a friendly family, where everyone contributes!
Tips for new guests?
Don't forget to visit the 'Magasin' for tasty farm and regional products!

We booked only a few hours before actually arriving there and it was absolutely no problem. Everyone was really nice and welcoming. A family member showed is how to get to the campsite, which is just outside a small village. It’s pretty much just a big field with a really nice fire place & barbecue. It’s surrounded by other fields with cows and horses and forest. Very beautiful landscape & nature around and the property itself is perfect for campers. We had the whole place to ourself, with lots of space to choose where to put up the tent, very private.
There is a small Dixi toilet as well.
We only stayed for one night, but would actually love to stay for longer. We’ll definitely be back one day!
How was the contact with the host?
Super quick reply to our messages, very friendly and helpful family.
Tips for new guests?
If you don’t speak French, make sure to have access to google translate. We managed, with our very broken French and they tried with their English, but google translate was a big help haha.

Blissful between the meadows and the curious cows as a neighbor.

The spot had a really nice view. Super quit. But it was hard to find. And the entry was muddy. We got stuck with the van twice.
How was the contact with the host?
Very nice host! Arranged a fire basket for us
Tips for new guests?
When it's wet outside the chance is high that you get stuck in the mud or slippery grass. No toilet or shower but enough bushes.

We stayed for 2 nights in Damiens field and it was great. Staying over between the cows and horses, bumblebees flying from one flower to another and complete calmness. Toilet was a dixie, not luxurious but clean. We bought fresh strawberries, cherries and juice from his little local shop - recommended! Houffalize is ~5 min by car to get groceries or dinner.
How was the contact with the host?
Damien and his family welcomed us on their farm, from where they guided us to the field for camping. They're very kind, welcoming, helpful and leave you be in their field. Only contact on arrival + departure.

Arrived much later than expected (10 pm), this was no problem for the host.
Beautiful place, during the day you hear some traffic, evening and night it is quiet and dark in the area.
The dixi on site is not recommended, there is a wooden 'toilet' in the bush.
Being able to make fire with wood that is at the entrance of the meadow.
We enjoyed.

We were disappointed and did not spend the night there. There was no toilet, no electricity, it is a piece where pebbles lie on the road. Certainly not inviting . You stand along the side of the road, sometimes not a busy road, but after reading the reviews we had imagined something completely different.
How was the contact with the host?
She does not speak English, only French, we had to report somewhere else where two large dogs were running loose. We followed her to the place where we could stand.
Tips for new guests?
Don't go here, way too much money for a roadside place. It's like wild camping.

Hello, it is well stipulated in the description that it is 100% nature (without water and electricity). We have two camp sites. One for bad weather on hard ground but the downside is the road and the next for good weather in the middle of the fields.
We apologize for the inconvenience !
We want to offer our customers a moment of disconnection and reconnection to nature. Sorry it didn't help you more...
