andreaWe are happy to host you in our 2,5 ectar land where you can spend some amazing time surrounded from the nature and our animals.
We are located just few km away from some of the
main hiking path of the Etna Natural Reserve, some of the most important Etna DOC winery, the Alcantara Gorge and just 1 hr and a half bus ride to Catania Airport.
You can place your tend on the shade of some beautiful walnut and hazelnut trees, with access to comfortable pic-nic tables, BBQ, compost toilet and solar power shower.
Very close by you can also visit Gurrida Lake where, during Spring and Autumn, you can enjoy the birds migration from Africa to Nord Europe and viceversa.
Visiting Catania (50km), Bronte the city of pistachio (10km), Medieval town of Randazzo (7km). Located in Sicily on the North-West of Etna La Contessa dell'Etna it's a Permacultural project applied to Mediterranean climate where plants, animals and men lives in symbiosis, respecting time, space and mostly nature.
Why the Countess?
The name comes from the beauty of the colors and shapes of clouds formations that the Etna wears on days of cold and strong wind, this name emphasizes the feeling and respect we have towards the volcano, which hosts us, excites us with spectacular eruptions that colors the sky day and night and also reminds us how infinitely small we are compare to mother nature.

- In our free time we make artisanal wood products, we go exploring the beautiful surrounding (Etna hiking, Alcantara Gorge, fishing, biking, horses riding) and as well cooking typical food and bread, making of the typical ricotta cheese, and much more !
