A quiet and quiet place at a care farm

RoosmarijnThe Boerderijcamping is located in the middle of Cortenoever, a floodplain area with lots of greenery and river dunes. Directly behind the campsite is a cycle path over the dike from where you have a beautiful view over the IJssel that is all around.
Both Brummen (4 km) and Zutphen (7 km) are easily accessible by bike or car.
Brummen is a quiet village between the Veluwezoom and the IJssel with many old country houses in and around its core. Due to the transition from Veluwe to a river area, nature is very varied and there are special nature reserves such as the Empese and Tondense Hei. With the ferry just outside Brummen you can also cross to Bronkhorst, which is known as the smallest town in the Netherlands.
Zutphen has a beautiful old town where you can enjoy the cozy terraces, special shops and hidden courtyards. Would you like to see the city in a different way? Then take the canoe or the whisper boat over the Berkel or view the city from above when you climb the Walburgist tower.
Slightly further away, but still easily accessible, are the Hanseatic cities of Doesburg and Deventer. Attractions such as Burgers' Zoo, the Speelerij, Kröller-Möller Museum and the Veluwsche Stoomtrein and nature reserves such as the Posbank are also a maximum of half an hour away by car.
Closer to home, or in this case the tent, you can enjoy the picking garden on our site (from mid-August to November) or the boots path that runs through the nature reserve behind the campsite. You also have easy access from the campsite to various walking routes and cycling networks.
The campsite is connected to care farm Cortenoever. The co-workers take care of the cleaning of the simple sanitary facilities and keep up with the mowing of the campsite. There is also a resting point at the campsite where you as a hiker, cyclist or camper can make your own cup of coffee or tea for a fee. Farmer's ice cream is also available.
At the campsite there are 3 tents that we offer for rental and we also have wonderful camping spots for a tent, in the middle of the orchard.
With a simple base you can enjoy the peace.

Beautiful place, remote from civilization, ideally located on the floodplains of the IJssel, the wide landscape is beautiful to view from the dike that runs along the Campspace. The site is richly provided with vegetation, greenery and young trees. The sanitary facilities are top notch, if the campsite is full, the presence of only 1 shower and 1 toilet may be a bit tight, but I think it's livable. The camping pitches are widely spread over the site, so you can enjoy your own privacy. The Campspace also has various tents that have already been set up, some of which are equipped with relaxed seating and festive lighting. In addition, you can use the existing kitchen unit under the roof, including a stove and refrigerator. And not unimportantly, the campsite is part of a Rest Point where various delicacies are available, including ice cream, which is of course a delicious dessert after a meal prepared yourself. For the lightweight camper it is also relaxed to know that the camping site has various chairs and benches / picnic tables. Although you can walk and cycle beautifully in the immediate vicinity, the Campspace is also not far from the Veluwe, which is definitely worth a visit as one of the more beautiful nature reserves in the Netherlands, if I do say so myself.
How was the contact with the host?
Had little contact with the host, but everything actually refers to itself, in addition, the kitchen block is equipped with the necessary information and you could always contact the host for remaining questions.
Tips for new guests?
Take bicycles with you, you can cycle beautifully in the immediate vicinity along the floodplains and perhaps visit Zutphen and/or Bronkhorst, for example.
