About this campspace

Charging point was born out of a need to connect. Connecting people with people, with nature, with movement and imagination to ultimately connect with yourself.
You can recharge and discharge yourself at our campspace. The campspace overlooks the Retiese meadows and has attractive ecological and sustainable sanitary facilities.
The piece of land is behind the private garden and is of course finished to provide the necessary privacy.
The children have also been thought of. There is an imaginative play tree house at a height with slides, swings, sandbox, playhouse built by the man of the house.
In the evening you can cook with your group around 1 of the 2 campfire places. There is a tripod with grid, baking tray, wok, Dutch oven available.
There is a natural swimming pond. This will be made available in consultation.
Good to know: this season you can also book for 1 night during the week. To save energy and especially water, we ask you to bring your own bed linen for 1 night.
We make an exception to the rule for people passing through (cycling/walking holiday).
Both accommodations are equipped with lighting and electricity and have their own fire pit.

You can come glamping with us to take a break and take your own time and space, you can also go there to discover different charging / discharging methods.
We also provide charging days / weekends where we can put together a program for you in consultation where you, your family, your team, family, friends can discover different inputs. Not thinking with the head and feeling with the body can do wonders in our feeling of happiness.

We work together with various partners from the area to tailor a weekend. Meals can also be provided within a charging day or weekend.

With an overnight stay at the campspace you can also book separate activities with or without supervision. (Sup, MTB, yoga, horse carriage ride,...)

Within walking distance there is a neighborhood supermarket with fresh charcuterie and fresh bread (fresh rolls, croissants, ...)
We also have a farm shop in the street for fresh meat, dairy, vegetables / fruit from the farmer to cook your own meal over the fire in the evening.

We welcome you with open arms.

If you want to come with a group or 2 families, there is the possibility to rent the 2 accommodations. If 1 is already occupied, we allow you to place your own tent.

Because we like to keep enough space for our guests, separate tent pitches are not possible.

We are Jolanda and Koen and we have 2 beautiful daughters Evi and Luka. Koen is a wood-handy man who likes to roll up his sleeves for projects in sustainable wood where he can express his creativity. He made just about everything in the garden. (shower/toilet building, play tree house)

I like to be among people. I teach art education and teach dance and movement expression to children and young people. In addition, I coach people in motion (from mountain bike to yoga to various art forms) to stimulate energy and creativity.

We are very satisfied with our stay. We were able to relax and the children had fun. All this in our own country! Both our children (4 and 7 years old) have played a lot in a nice tree house made by Koen himself. It was very soothing, quiet and fun! Amazing Experience! The place is beautifully designed and gives a sense of real disconnection from daily life. It's name Oplaadpunt means "charging point": indeed i spent two nights and felt rejuvenated by a very well organized and resourceful space. The place offers possibilities of quietness as well as many activities. The tents are as charming and welcoming as they look on the pictures. The lovely natural pool, the collective fire corner and the little wooden huts that shelter the toilets, the shower and the fridge provide a superb natural and respectful environment. As a parent i really appreciated the great playground that left me able to be at the fire corner while keeping an eye on my kid playing. It's also easy for kids to connect with other little guests and the pool is safely protected. I will definitely come back with some friends and enjoy more of this ;) ( Last but not least, this spot is located only 1H20 away from Brussels by car.....)

Jolanda, Koen and their two daugthers are the best people. Very good energy there ;)) The contact is very easy and authentic. Quickly pulled out for 2 more days at this beautiful spot and also immediately our first campspace experience. What a bliss. We haven't had such a nice trip in a long time.
Due to the weather we didn't do the activities we wanted to do but we will come back. We especially went for a walk and wow what a nice places there in Retie! In the Prinsenpark you have the most beautiful ponds and especially peace and quiet, at the watermill it is also wonderful to stay and at the campspace spot it is wonderful to wake up to the sound of the neighbors horse. In the evening a cozy campfire, in the morning a delicious breakfast. It really was a bit like coming home. The privacy was respected and when they proposed whether they would also like to prick a marshmallow at the campfire, they sat down with the kids. The kids know very well that they are not allowed to come to the site unless you ask them yourself.

The contact was very smooth and clear, friendly and with respect. You could also ask for anything on site if you wanted. Blissful hospitable people with their hearts in the right place.
