Since 2018, we have been converting an existing poplar forest into a food forest. Tent pitches have been created in the forest and there is room for a few small campers at the edge of the forest. Your place is surrounded by fruit trees, berry bushes, herbs and wild grasses. There is no electricity and water at the pitches, but there is a central location. If you want to camp with us, it is a requirement that you respect nature and leave as little waste as possible (in the appropriate bins). We are happy to help you with that; we sell packaging-free products in our shop and vegetables, fruit and eggs straight from the garden. It is also possible to order bread and breakfast dishes. We are small-scale, with 20 pitches spread over 3 hectares, and our guests are seekers of peace. You will certainly find that peace here. After just one day, guests usually feel reborn and completely at ease. In the forest there is a communal fire place with a grill for grilling. Disposable BBQs and fires are not allowed near your tent. There is also a shared fridge and kettle that you can use. In the forest there is a sanitary building with two compost toilets and a hot and cold shower. Because there is no sewer, no soap / shampoo may be used and only (a small amount) of ecological detergent for washing up. A little further away there is more luxurious sanitary facilities with wonderful showers and flushing toilets, where ecological soap / shampoo may be used.
Our location is close to Middelburg and Vlissingen, 3 km from the Western Scheldt. You can also easily reach the North Sea beaches or the picturesque Veere or Veerse lake.

Wonderfully quiet campsite with a real nature experience in the food forest. Although (almost) all places were fully booked, the peace and quiet was enormous. During our stay there was a lot of wind, but at the camping spot in the woods it was hardly noticeable. We enjoyed!

How was the contact with the host?
Very good. Accessible, friendly and we immediately felt welcome. Because of the weather we arrived two days later and because there was space we could even stay one night longer. Thank you for your hospitality!

Very nice large green food forest. Our place was very private.
Walking barefoot everywhere on the grassy paths. Definitely a highlight of our campspace tour. We would love to come back more often. Learned a lot about permaculture too.

Very nice. Super sweet inspiring people. Can learn a lot from them. Everything clearly explained about the site and facilities.

Tips for new guests?
The breakfast to be ordered and the potatoes from our own garden are delicious

Good connection with nature, choice of 2 clean sanitary facilities (one a bit more difficult than the other), sufficient privacy when rotating the tent.

Cool, noble lady with a very good tip for a nice restaurant in the area.

Tips for new guests?
Don't forget your biodegradable shower supplies.

In a word: AMAZING! We were received super friendly by host Marieke. She told us about their place, how it came to be and how she and her family built it into a beautiful natural forest. Everything they do is with nature, they have a permaculture vegetable garden, they only use natural materials and methods, and they ensure that nature can take its course.
The forest is beautiful and spacious with its own tent spots and the tipi tents that you can book. Next to the forest they have created a natural field where we stood with our camper van. In these places you have a lot of privacy and beautiful views. There are also two sanitary buildings, one with a compost toilet and cold water shower and the other with luxury toilets and showers. Both very well maintained!
The terrain was the perfect finishing touch for us because of the beautiful picnic areas, newly born piglets and the great atmosphere there was! If you're looking for a place to relax and enjoy pure nature, then you've come to the right place!

How was the contact with the host?
Super friendly contact with the host and she always responded quickly.

Tips for new guests?
Tip! Bake your own pizza in the stone oven.

If you really want to relax and enjoy nature, then staying overnight at this campspace is recommended. We enjoyed a luxurious stay in one of the glamping tents in the food forest. These tents are nicely furnished, the toilet building was clean and the outdoor kitchen was equipped with everything we needed and extra! Because during our stay we enjoyed a real brick oven pizza. In addition, we were also lucky that little piglets were born a week ago, we could see and pet them up close. If you want to make your stay even more luxurious, you can request a breakfast made by the host, this is definitely recommended. All in all it was a relaxing weekend for us in nature.

How was the contact with the host?
Marieke is a very nice host and is always there for you if you have any questions. The contact online and offline was very fast and easy.

Tips for new guests?
Be sure to try Marieke's breakfast.
