On arrival I was cheerfully and enthusiastically received by host Inge, who was singing to clean the toilets. I immediately thought to myself, if this is to represent the atmosphere for the rest of the campsite, then this could just be a great place. And it sure is!
Freedom, tranquility, nature. Everything falls into place here. I was allowed to spend the night in the caravan Prithvi. A very cozy and attractively furnished vintage caravan, which Teun was once able to take over and has turned it into a real resting point. The caravan has its own deck with a seat, is equipped with many storage places, there is a kettle ready including tea set and a pot of loose tea from the local tearoom.
The campsite has a number of off-grid amenities to minimize your footprint, such as an outdoor shower, a compost toilet and an outdoor kitchen. They hosts make these amenities more appealing by really making some of them. For example, the compost toilet is a true throne and equipped with all kinds of conveniences. If you've never used a composting toilet before, you won't get it better than here, so it's worth a try!
There is also a beautiful swimming pond, which is shared with some geese and frogs. You can relax in the tipi tent, but there are also activities such as Mantrasinging. The camping site has also provided a hardened floor for, for example, yoga or dance.
A permaculture is being worked on at the campsite. There is a vegetable garden, a compost heap, picking garden, there are chickens walking around and there is (a very clever idea) a Kruiden Teun! (Teun's herb garden)
Are you interested in this, or are you at home in this yourself, then Teun and Inge are a very good discussion partner. Teun and Inge are involved with their guests anyway. They take care of everything, are ready for you, occasionally come for a chat and often organize a dinner with you.
The campsite is very well on its way to nature! For example, a pheasant has once sat in the high grass with her chicks and now and then a deer comes onto the field for food or shade. So not only people know where to find this place, but also nature and the animals. Beautiful!!
Would you like to spend the night in your own tent/caravan/camper, this campsite has plenty of room for that too! But if you are walking or cycling, you can also spend the night in one of the ready-made caravans.

How was the contact with the host?
The contact with Teun and Inge is excellent. They are involved with their guests, are there for you and occasionally have a chat. They provide a wonderful vibe with their relaxed attitude.
Tips for new guests?
The environment is beautiful! So be sure to go for a walk. But the swimming pond and the activities that are organized are also highly recommended. If you have always wanted to try a compost toilet, then you should definitely try the one from Camping Klein Schoor!
