About this campspace

Welcome to 'Nap in the meadow'. A unique accommodation concept in the middle of the Grote Gete valley (Linter, Flemish Brabant). With us you exchange the hustle & bustle & the daily routine for a night of adventure, without WIFI, but with bellowing cows, chirping birds and a breathtaking view of the officially awarded cleanest farmland in Flanders... Everything is there to take a step. and focus more on yourself, the peace and quiet and each other's company.

At Nap in the meadow you sleep in an old charming (cattle) wagon that has been converted into a 'house in nature'. It is as adventurous as sleeping in a tent, but with that little bit extra of luxury & comfort. This makes it feasible for young and old to experience a unique & authentic overnight stay (together). We can accommodate 2 adults and 2 children. We are very happy that we can also offer (grand) parents the opportunity to enjoy a special sleepover with their (grand) children.


Services:
Our charming cattle truck has a sitting area, a kitchenette (with sink & cooking facilities) and a spacious double bed. In addition, there is also (ambient) lighting and charging points for your mobile phone or photo camera (via USB sockets). For the children, the seat can be converted into a sofa bed. Since we like to bet on Q-time, there are also some board games and stuff to get started with.

The sanitary facilities are located in a separate room next to the cattle truck. This is equipped with a compost toilet and those who want can try a lovely outdoor shower.

Hello,
I am Dorien and founder of 'Natje in de Wei'.
In 2018 I was in a coaching course & was given the assignment to draw "the life of my dreams". With a warm but scared heart I drew my parents' cattle truck in the meadow around our farm & a lot of people around it.

Not long before I came across a similar accommodation concept. It took me back to my youth and my parents' cattle truck... A charming wagon that used to be used to transport wine. In the winter - when our cows were in the stable - it was always out of service and my parents transformed it into an indoor playground. The floor was covered with old carpets and boxes full of fun toys were added, so we had the ultimate formula to entertain ourselves for hours while my parents could do their work on the farm. My brother and his friends had also become attached to it as an improvised camper during the Rock Werchter festival... I thought: 'If I can transform it and take a piece of my own history with me to make new dreams come true... wouldn't that be great'?! It felt absolutely right, but did I have the courage to say: 'I'm going to do this'?!

It seemed very simple, but it still took almost 3 years to say 'Yes, I'm just going for it'... For me, Nap in the meadow is a symbol of daring to go for your own dreams. I sincerely hope that the place we have created will give our guests the space to stop time for a moment, focus on those who are important and have a good time together.
