The court of Stan and Leen: enjoying a fire under the stars

About this campspace #s004111
You can camp here amidst fields and forests away from light and noise. Our domain is just under five hectares, so there is plenty of space!
The place is also highly sought after by local wildlife such as roe deer, hares and squirrels. Bird lovers will certainly get their money's worth here!
The former pig farm was built in 1953. Between 1985 and 2005 a strawberry farm was established by my parents. After that, the meadows were unused and nature was given free rein. Because of the latter, it is recommended not to walk around barefoot as small thistles and nettles grow between the grass.
The village is 500 meters away and you will find a bakery, butcher shop, cafe where I also go a lot (right over the church) and a little further in the Dorpstraat a chip shop and day shop (night shop but during the day).
The nearest train stations are Serskamp, Schellebelle and Wetteren, if you take the bus, you can take bus 58 at Wetteren station to the Serskamp Kerk stop.
The photos describing the place were taken as recently as possible (most recent on April 12th '21). In the spring, the view changes significantly.
Campers can take a seat at the place where the car can turn, this gives a beautiful view of nature from the camper. It is not possible to stand on the meadows in winter and early spring, they are too soggy. In the garden is a tree light that goes out at 22:00. The entrance to the shed is provided with a spotlight with a motion sensor.
There is access to a toilet and sink.
Do you need a cable roll up to the camper? Then I provide it. Unfortunately, this is not possible for tents that want to be more than 50 meters from the last outlet.
For walks in the vicinity I have plasticized hiking maps that you can borrow.
PS: previously this Campspace was called "The valley near the Eetgoed".

Meet Stan, your host

We were warmly welcomed by Stan and given a nice spot under large trees with the necessary shade and a beautiful view of his area. In the evening and early in the morning we even saw some wild deer walking! Stan has a very large piece of land, but only allows 3 tents at a time, which means that you have a lot of peace and space. On arrival he provided us with electricity and all the necessities for a campfire. We also received some hiking maps with routes in the area. The only downside is that the sanitary facilities were not exactly clean.

Our caravan was placed in one of Stan’s three pastures. Shade is rather scarce, but we were a big fan of this camping spot. The view over the meadows and trees, the friendly welcome and the facilities (possibility of cooling food, drinking water, electricity) were perfectly fine! We remember this place!

Rules
No noise between 10pm and 6am
Please do not leave any rubbish: at the beginning of the street (opposite the school in the village) there are glass containers where you can deposit glass bottles. I can provide black waste bags, but you have to bring your own.
Cars can park on the marked paved places next to the meadow.
Those who want to make a fire can use the old washing drum as a fire basket. At the moment the dry wood has run out, you can take wood with you or gather wood in the bushes in the garden.
I love your dog but not his stye;)
