On the Noorder es of the small village of Lhee, with a view of the Dwingelder field National Park, lies a small paradise. A garden of over 0.5 hectares, full of flowers and fruit trees. If you are lucky you will see, besides all kinds of birds, also deer, squirrels and hedgehogs. Here you look for your own place for your tent. There is never more than one tent at a time.
The plumbing is primitive. There is a compost toilet, a sink and an outdoor shower with cold water. The garden shed in the orchard may also be used. And for the evening there is a campfire place.
In the area, directly from the garden, it is wonderful to walk and cycle.

This beautiful spot is intended for walkers or cyclists. People who come by public transport are also welcome.
When registering, you can ask for a bag of wood for your campfire. Costs 5 euros. The wood will then be waiting for you upon arrival.

I love the outdoors and like to share this with my children, grandchildren, friends, and others.
I have seen a lot of the world on my travels. Still, I like to come back to beautiful Lhee, where I live with my dog.

I had a great night's sleep in Mieke's garden! It is a fantastic place to completely unwind. When I arrived, Mieke pointed out to me that there was a squirrel in the garden and that there were little hedgehogs running around happily. That was very nice and fun to watch.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Five stars for our stay with Mieke.
Mieke is very hospitable and cordial, the contact was smooth and clear. A good hostess who let us go our own way.
The camping spot is beautiful between the fruit trees and with a ten-minute walk you are in the Dwingelerveld. We were allowed to use the wooden gazebo, which gave us some extra comfort and security during a thunderstorm. Shower and toilet are basic as promised, but no more is needed and taking a shower outside with a view of the fields is wonderful.

It was a little primitive, but this was known in advance. The small village was nearby and really cozy. everything went smoothly.

Found a real paradise! Between the vegetable garden and the fruit trees we were allowed to pitch our tent and we received homemade elderflower lemonade on arrival!

I stayed with Mieke at a beautiful, quiet place. Beautiful clearing between the fruit trees and the flower fields. She gave me a short tour of her grounds and explained how to use the campfire site. The facilities were fine, exactly as I imagined. The concrete line poles cast in concrete are perfect for hanging a hammock. You are surrounded by nature with a lot of birds and many horses in an adjacent field. Her cat also came to the tent a few times out of curiosity. I had forgotten my chair, but borrowing one from Marieke was, fortunately, no problem. Due to the rain, I was not able to fully enjoy this place this time, but I would definitely recommend this place and will definitely go back there myself!
