Welcome.Cast Away is a self-sustainable back to basics eco village categorized as Robinson accommodation, offering 10 spacious wooden beach huts in the middle of nature a stone's throw away from 2 gorgeous beaches.Each hut comes with exquisite sea views, the ideal place to relax and recharge, a world away from the touristic hustle.Enjoy a million stars in one of the many hammocks or lounges and let the gentle sound of the waves lull you to sleep.Our 10 spacious wooden huts (2,50m x 1,80m - inside) each come with 2 twin matrasses, linen, blankets, pillows, light, a storage shelf, mosquito net and endless sea views of the Adriatic and the numerous offshore islands of Korcula, Vis, Peljesac, Scedro, Bisevo, etc.Guests can relax in 3 different lounge areas, 5 hammocks and a double sunbed. NO WIFI! But you can use our hotspot / computer to check something small if urgent or necessary. You can also buy yourself a local simcard. I recommend BONBON. The simcard is free and you can get 3GB of data for 44kn. Don't forget to activate the package before using your credit!

From 14PM to 16PM electricity is provided by a power generator (Max 2kW - Enough for charging cell phones, laptops, etc.)

Rainwater is provided with a electric waterpump (On solar energy)ACTIVITIESVarious activities are possible: Daytrips, excursions, wine tours, boat/car/motorbike/bike rentals, windsurfing courses, paddle boarding, kayaking, snorkelling, diving, cliff climbing, skydiving and many more. You will be part of a happy community of travelers coming from all parts of the world. You can choose to have some me-time on one of the many small beaches or in a hammock but you can also hang out with the other travellers in the lounges and/or on the terrace. Amazing sunsets, stargazing, nights out to town, some windsurfing or snorkeling, hiking, off-road tours, wine tours, mountainbiking or simply some yoga and relaxation. Just chill, enjoy and create your own perfect stay.

Our paradise is only accessible by a 3.6km dirt road that starts in Zavala.
The first 3km are fine, but the last 600m (after the village itself) gets quite rough, and is not recommendable if you come with your own car or with a rental car without four wheel drive. Cast Away, therefore, offers a free shuttle that can pick you up and drop you off in either Jelsa or Starigrad.
Bear in mind that you will also have to walk the last 200m along a pathway towards Gromin Dolacs main beach because theres no access for cars. There are no signs, keeping in tune with the hidden, cast away beach vibe. This keeps out curious daytrippers and guarantees comfort and privacy.
The access may be rather difficult, but therein lies the beauty of Cast Away. It is hard to find, but this is exactly what makes this place so unique and serene. Prepare yourself for a wonderful secluded location surrounded by nature, beautiful coves & beaches, walking & biking trails and an authentic Dalmatian lifestyle.

Hvar townOld, historic city with a sparkling culture and amazing nightlife. Hvar city is the most famous party place in Croatia hosting the notorious Ultra Europe in July and withseveral world-known beach clubs such as Carpe Diem Beach Hula Hula. Hvar is also known as a jetset destination with extravagant yachts, exquisite sea food & worldclass wines. Towns such as Starigrad & Jelsa are definitely worth a visit. If you like really remote, authentic local places I would recommend some small villages inland such as Pitve, Vrisnik, Dol, Svirce, etc. Ivan Dolac, Zavala, Sv Nedelja are also very cosy and not so touristy.Feel the real Dalmatia and explore those small villages, taste the home made local wine, taste some fresh olive oil or fresh lavender... And don't forget the delicious home made Prosek!TRANSPORTATIONCar ferries sail many times per day from Split to Stari Grad & from Drvenik to Sucuraj. This is the cheapest option and you dont need any reservation. If you come by car, Drvenik - Sucuraj is the cheapest but also the furthest. You can find all the prices timetables with Jadrolinija. There are also high speed connections with catamarans (only passengers) from Split, Brac, Korcula, Vis, Mljet Dubrovnik. As an example: Split - Jelsa (13 minutes, starting at 32)Prices timetables with European Coastal Airlines.On the island, busses only run between Hvar town, Starigrad Jelsa. But Cast Away offers a free shuttle to Starigrad Jelsa. It runs once per day to the ferry port in Starigrad at 11.30am. A pick up in Jelsa or Zavala is possible as well.
