About this campspace
On the Elbe in a secluded location:
We offer a tent and mobile home parking space for self-sufficient campers directly at our rest farm. The parking space is separated from the main property for sufficient privacy. It is located on an agricultural track, where one or two tractors sometimes drive past. The place offers a fantastic view of the green meadows all around and provides enough shade on hot days. Sunset views are included. For hikers and cyclists with a tent, we offer a place to stay overnight with electricity and water on, WiFi available.
On request, you can shower in our guest bathroom.

Nortorf is located at the geographic center of Schleswig-Holstein. The city is also known as the gateway to the Westensee and Aukrug nature parks. Nortorf is surrounded by numerous nature and animal protection areas that are worth a visit. The North Sea and the Elbe are not far away and invite you to go for a walk on the beach, hiking and cycling.

The place was very well located for us to drive out of Hamburg "just Friday after work" and stay in nature (driven 1 hour). During our stay we walked along the little (to hardly) traveled path/road to the cows nearby. The wind turbines are not in the immediate vicinity of the house, we didn't notice them (15kmh wind speed). The next day we went to the North Sea, which is also not far from the pitch. The pitch met our requirement.
How was the contact with the host?
The parking space is with Axel and his wife. They both seemed very open and relaxed. They have a German Shepherd who as soon as Axel greeted us was very calm and got along well with our female border collie mix (they both played).
Tips for new guests?
You are completely separated from the host by sufficient greenery and have your privacy. We positioned ourselves with our sliding door facing away from the road to bushes and the trunk facing the public bench (the bench is not actually on the host's property). The space is also large enough for larger mobile homes. The public table with the bench was only recently set up... if you behave cleanly, there's nothing wrong with using it. It goes without saying that you only set up your camping equipment on Axel's property.
A little tip regarding the description/pictures of the host: We understood that the pond was right next to the pitch. The pictures of the pond are only for the description of the campsite, which is currently deactivated (until the sanitary facilities are renovated). The pond is on the other side of the house. To use it you have to go through the host's well-kept garden. You can also use it after consultation....
