Camper & tent at Geyso Castle in Hohenroda-Mansbach
About this campspace #s006316

Your host
NadjaWe offer a place with a lot of peace and various possibilities to relax. Be it by simply relaxing in the garden, taking walks in the area, swimming in the surrounding lakes and much more. The imagination knows no limits. In addition to space for one or two tents on the meadow and a space for a camper in the parking lot, we also rent apartments on AirBnB.
We don't have sanitary facilities for camping yet. We can provide water/electricity. Please bring a hose/canister and a long cable with you.
Wood to make a fire can be found on the premises (you have to collect it :-) There is a fire bowl in the basement. Please place on a manhole cover so that the meadow does not burn and put it back after use. 2 crickets are available and are also used by the AirBnB guests.
The site is 8,000 m2 and offers enough space. 2 units of the building are permanently rented and therefore it is important to pay attention to a quiet night's sleep. Please do not feed the horses on the premises. The WiFi does not reach everywhere, it is best to use it directly at the castle or in the foyer.
In the village there is a bakery, butcher and here is the horse farm Arhöna. A small bathing lake is in the next town 2km away. There are beautiful hiking and cycling routes in the area: for example to Grasburg and Ulster. The historic Celtic village in Sünna is 10km away.
About the owners: We are a small group of idealists who bought the 16th century listed building in 2014. We plan to establish a cultural project and seminar house there. We have already been able to renovate part of the castle with ecological materials, but we are still at the beginning of a long "journey".
