Come and enjoy the vast regional forests in the Antwerp Kempen. From your camping pitch you have an ideal base for many wonderful hiking or cycling trips. The camping spot is located along the forest where you can leave a few meters away for a walk along walking routes that have been selected for walk of the year 2021, being the bridge walk of 10 km and the grave raven path of 3 km. If you prefer to enjoy the peace and quiet, you will probably find a nice spot close to or at your camping spot itself. Your camping pitch is located in the ecological garden of a Talander vzw country house. Talander vzw is an initiative for people with a disability. In this country house, a companion lives with two people in co-housing, they are happy to be your hosts.

Ask them about the local assets, because they are certainly there. For the sporty holidaymaker and / or the rather quieter, there are many beautiful, interesting nice places to discover.
At the camping spot you can find peace and sniff the wonderful forest scent.
Would you like to enjoy breakfast in the morning? Let your hosts know, for an affordable amount they will be happy to prepare something for you, perhaps with ingredients from their own garden.

In the evening you can enjoy the sounds of the forest here: the song thrush, a grunting woodcock that flies over and when the campfire is lit you can also hear the tawny owl by the crackling fire.
If you have any questions about the possibilities at the camping site, you can always contact the hosts.

Blissful quiet camping site in the beautiful natural garden of country house Talander, where you can enjoy the peace and quiet, the forest sounds, the flowers and bees, vegetables, chickens, Jack the buck and Risla the dog. A place we would love to come back to!
Very nice area for cycling and walking!

How was the contact with the host?
Sven is a very helpful, passionate Host who likes to tell you about the ins and outs of Talander, the eco garden, the bees, fauna and flora. The residents Toon and Erwin are also very nice guests. We also paid a visit to the tea house where they were both working! Magnificent

With the bike on the way, this was a fantastic, beautiful and quiet camping spot. Enjoyed the peace, the breakfast, the fire that we were allowed to light and the hospitality. Nice nature reserve for walking too.

We really enjoyed the greenery, the peace and quiet, the unexpectedly beautiful surroundings of Ravels and the 2 lovely hosts (Sven & Erwin) with their warm welcome! We have really relaxed these days.

How was the contact with the host?
Wonderful! Sven and Erwin were always ready to answer questions and were happy to give tips about the area. When I had an unexpected allergic reaction from mosquito bites, he called my friend (the doctor) about what to do. This was greatly appreciated.

Tips for new guests?
If honey is available, definitely buy it! This one is grown in the most ecological way and delicious.

This campspace place is worth it for the garden alone! Wow! The vegetable garden and bees and the love with which the garden is maintained is beautiful! Sven is a very nice host. He makes a campfire for you and can tell you a lot about his garden and the environment. The sanitary facilities are all to yourself and spotlessly clean. You can use his fridge and freezer in
the barn. Always handy when you're camping back to basic. Recommended!
