Unique: you are always the only one here! This is because we think it is important that you are alone, with your friends, partner or family. No caravans or tents around you that you don't know, but wonderfully private. If you want to stay here with several family members, a large group or with friends, we need to discuss this. However, there is no other way to do this via Campspace than to first make a booking (if necessary, you can wait to pay) that way you can write a message to us. There is enough space for groups. Only we would like to know a little more, what is the intention of the outing? As you might expect: groups of friends who want to get drunk and play music, they better keep looking ;)
A caravan with a tent for a child or something like that. we simply count as 1, of course you do not have to pay extra for that.
Please note, the house is close to the highway, so you will unfortunately hear it. It is important to be aware of this to avoid setbacks. Are you a very light sleeper? Then bring earplugs just to be sure.
There is firewood available, but it consists of scrap wood and old branches that have been sawn off, this is outside. Or, it's not perfect. Most people use this and that's okay too, that's fine, :) but if you want really good wood I would advise you to bring your own. The prunings are just in the garden, you can find this messy, but this ensures that hedgehogs and other animals can find a nice spot if they want and we think that's more important than how it looks :).
Fun to do in the area:

• Do you want to walk into the forest as quickly as possible: navigate to 'visitors entrance Reeenbergweg' in Beekbergen, the forest is 400 meters away :)
•Loenermark, these are beautiful routes through the middle of the Veluwe, only 5 km away from your camping spot. Google on 'Loenermark walking routes' go to the website of 'glk'.
• About 23 km from your spot is Kootwijkerzand and radio Kootwijk. A kind of steppe landscape in the Netherlands, very special and very large.
•The National Park De Hoge Veluwe cannot be missed in this list. This beautiful park is located about 20 km from the 'Campspace'. Here you can walk, cycle and excursions are organized. Please take a look at their website.

* Do you know or are you someone who would like to camp, but are you struggling financially? Then let us know. Money should not be the limiting factor to enjoy camping in nature :). You come into contact with us by making a booking without paying, they call it a reservation. I am Rhodé and together with Ad we are very grateful for our spot in the middle of the Veluwe. Although we live close to a highway, we still enjoy nature here, with a forest within walking distance. If you like making a campfire, nature and a private place, you've come to the right place.
Enjoy mountain biking, cycling and walking, this area is perfect for that. Enjoy the beautiful Veluwe
Walking in the nearby forest, sometimes you see deer and / or wild boars
Albertheijn and Spar about 4 km away. Or go to the mini spar of the Landal campsite, about 800 meters walk when it is open.
Beekbergen's cauldron
RIANT is a very nice restaurant, just like the Egg of Columbus

What a nice place! Of course we knew that it is right on the A50, so we took that into account. You can see that as a negative, but in practice it wasn't too bad for us. The benefits were actually greater, because you get all the privacy and freedom and can sit by the fire until late without causing any nuisance. Nice base to explore the area.
How was the contact with the host?
Rhode communicates great, you get a welcome feeling from these lovely people. She really wants you to have a good time.
Tips for new guests?
It is located on the highway, fact, but we were not too bad. The advantages outweigh the disadvantages. They are still busy decorating the site and you can see that, but that did not bother us at all. You can go your own way, so you can arrange everything yourself. There is a brand new toilet and shower for guests, so that's great. There was no clothes hook, for example, yet, but that didn't bother us. Just improvise.
So enjoy your freedom, but if you're fussy or complain about the highway, it's not for you. By the way, you can always decide on the spot not to stay because of the highway, they really don't make a fuss about that. Or bring earplugs for the night.

Hi Robert,
What a very nice and beautiful review. You describe it very well. It's not perfect, there are still things we can and must do, but if you are not bothered by imperfection, you can improve, you love nature, you love privacy and you are just a nice person, then you are in the right place us good :).
We really enjoyed your positivity, thank you for that!!

Different than expected, but positively surprised!
Nice place where you can do your own thing in peace and space. There is a large fire bowl and there is enough wood to use.
We were able to borrow hammocks from the hosts to relax in and the atmosphere was very pleasant. The site has no fence so you can drive in and out when necessary.
The only thing that might trip you up is the fact that the place is about 40m off the A50. The first night for us took some getting used to, but you get used to the noise very quickly. For us it doesn't make the place any less.
In short, if you want to relax without being watched or having to take into account camping neighbors, this is the perfect place to stay for a few nights.
How was the contact with the host?
Very nice people. They responded quickly and helpfully, but let you do your own thing.
Tips for new guests?
Take if necessary. Bring ear plugs if you are a light sleeper. There is no mirror in the bathroom, so you might want to bring a small one yourself. The power connection is a ''normal'' socket, so no special one for campsites.

Nice spot, I wanted to try out my new camping gear in peace and that was very good there. So nice that you are there all alone, you can choose how and where you put your tent, brand new toilet and shower. With a view of the adjacent green Veluwe estate. Also received very hospitably.

A wonderful night camped with all the space to be on your own.
Light a fire, watch the full moon, with trees around you.
We enjoyed the proximity of a beautiful tranquil forest.

When we arrived, we had no idea of the little paradise that is hidden behind the house, next to the highway. We were allowed to drive past the house and find a place to set up our tent, wherever we wanted. After all, there are no other guests to be taken into account. What a lovely "garden".. Reminded me of the old days when I was in Scouting. There was a large fire bowl in the back, so we pitched our tent there.
The location is right next to the highway. Although you can hear the cars, we have not experienced this as annoying. Furthermore, it is wonderfully quiet in the immediate vicinity. We really felt like we were in the middle of the forest. Because we only camped for 1 night, we can't tell you much about the surrounding area, except that there is a supermarket about 10 minutes drive away.
We really enjoyed our mini stay. We have experienced it as the best alternative to wild camping and we certainly hope to come and camp for longer!
Thank you for your hospitality!
How was the contact with the host?
The contact with Rhode has been excellent from start to finish. We could indicate ourselves what time we would like to arrive and leave.
Rhode had indicated that she would not be there when we arrived, but that we could just go ahead. When we just got there, Rhode and her husband came to meet us. A nice young couple (and their cute son).. We got an explanation about some practical things and had a nice chat. In the evening the master of the house came by to ask if everything was to your liking. We were just having a BBQ, so naturally we invited him to join us for dinner. We had a nice beer. Furthermore, Rhode and her husband let us enjoy our privacy and they were available by phone when needed.

There is no toilet available, so if you camp with a tent, bring a dry toilet (or just the bags) with you.

This campspace is a wonderful retreat, set in a peaceful and scenic location, offering a great escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. The amenities are basic but adequate, and the hosts are very helpful and welcoming. The only drawback is the noise of passing cars on the nearby road, which can be disturbing at times. Overall I would rate this campspace with 4 stars.

For us it was a tryout. We are going to make a trip through Sweden with the camper in May. So for us it was the intention to see what we run into when you say "self-support" somewhere. This was the ideal place for us. We could possibly fall back on water, electricity and sanitary facilities and yet we were in a kind of forest. You could stand anywhere, make a campfire and no one complains about music later in the evening.
How was the contact with the host?
Although it felt strange to us to be allowed to camp in someone's “back yard”, it felt right at home. We received a very friendly welcome, everything and did not see each other again until departure.
Tips for new guests?
We were here in March, so the trees and shrubs were hibernating, but will definitely come back when everything is in bloom! Ps, keep in mind that you are close to the highway (we were also told when booking). This was no problem for us and it still isn't.

We arrived late in the evening, were well received. It was a nice spot behind their house, not bothered by the highway. The things were a bit worn, like the sofa. But we didn't use that. Nice campfire place there and the bread the day after your stay is definitely recommended! Nice and hot and fresh.
How was the contact with the host?
Good contact! Easy access, quick responses and friendly.
Tips for new guests?
Turn on the lights on arrival, no dog poop in that area.

Nice spot among the trees! The place gives a lot of privacy and we really liked that we could make a fire!

A lovely spot in the forest. Stayed overnight with our van. Nice fire. Comes a bit close to wild camping. We also had little trouble with the highway.
How was the contact with the host?
Super nice and helpful host. Were allowed to use pallets to make fire.

Thank you for your nice positive review! We look forward to seeing you again. And maybe nice to know: on the Sunday that you left, the baby was born, named Levi.

A very rosy camping space in an area close to natural parks. Also doable to drive or take the bus to the Veluwe. A fire pit was offered to us on arrival as well as wood, and we had complete privacy. If one isn't too bothered about the traffic noise, a highly recommendable camping spot for those who like privacy and being under the trees.
How was the contact with the host?
Host was extremely friendly, was very happy to lead us to the camping spot and was available for any questions we had.
Tips for new guests?
Probably bring earplugs for at night if you are a light sleeper.

This Campspace is the perfect base for adventures in the Veluwe. You can get there quickly from the highway from other parts of the country and can walk or cycle through the woods for hours at a short distance. The host was very flexible and friendly and we felt very welcome. We were allowed to make a campfire with wood from the site and had a great time.
Tip: bring earplugs if you are sensitive to noise, because the highway is not very far from the Campspace.

Lovely private spot to chill out, read a book, play games at the picnic table, chop wood and light a fire. Keep in mind that you can hear the highway well, but don't you want that for a while? Then you cross the road and you can get lost in the forest for hours. Or sit next to your campfire and all you hear is the crackle of your self-cut wood :)
How was the contact with the host?
Nice! Nice and sweet couple. Very easily accessible.

Great spot for a night. Don't expect too much. Nice hostesses, bicycles for rent and wood to make a campfire. Private place. Sanitary also good for each other!

The hosts are both super nice and helpful.
The place was not as nice as the pictures suggest. I found it very messy. Car wrecks and mountains of pruning waste in the back of the garden, the place is very dark (and I was there on a sunny day). Little bit of grass for a small tent; it is more of an area for campers anyway.
How was the contact with the host?
FANTASTIC. I can't say otherwise.

Great place if you are passing through with a camper.

We don't understand those 5 and 4 star reviews at all. Camping among the rubbish on a site with the appearance of a car scrap yard is not exactly our thing. We have seriously considered making an immediate turn around, however, the very beautiful hiking areas in the immediate vicinity and the beautiful weather made us decide to stay. Clean sanitary facilities would also have been nice. This is not the place for serious campers. We have over 30 years of experience with "wild camping" without any facilities, from backpack to camper and everything in between, but it should not be like in Beekbergen. We would be ashamed to receive guests on such a site. The traffic noise is not the spoilsport, you can adjust to that, but the rubbish, car, bottle glass, car parts, building materials and prunings are. Apparently the landlord is tinkering with a Fiat X1/9 himself because I assume that the two scrap cars on the site have acted as donors, but they do not belong on a camping site. The terrain definitely has camping potential, but my advice to the landlord would be to clean up, clean and remove all kinds of unsightly and nonsensical lighting strings, etc..

Good afternoon,
How shocked I am by this review and what a shame that we didn't speak to each other. You could have just gotten your money back, because we don't enjoy it at all if people don't have a good time.
The two cars are not ours. Someone placed them with us 'just' because we have so much space. We have already asked to remove them as soon as possible, because they indeed take far too long and are not beautiful and are falling apart.
Polishing, that could be better indeed. It is only used by campspace (and there is always only 1 camper or 1 group that belongs together), so we thought that everyone would have the decency to leave it clean. However, this may turn out to be an overestimation, and in any case there is also dust formation, etc., which is then not cleaned. We'll take this with us.
Very unfortunate that it turned out this way for both of us. We could have simply resolved this in a more mature way through a good conversation and of course giving your money back.

The terrain next to the highway was a loveless place. Scrap cars, broken furniture, a broken trampoline and other rubbish were scattered on the site. The plumbing had just been installed, neat, but not finished.
The photo on Campspace is not representative of what you will find.
We stayed there for one night due to family visits in the area, but the place is not (yet) suitable for a nice camping experience.
How was the contact with the host?
Short, but fine.

Dear Diana,
I'm sorry you experienced it that way. Our place is indeed not suitable for everyone, it is especially for people who really like to be alone in a place, and find it fantastic to light a fire. It's a pity we haven't been able to speak to each other.
Perhaps a tip for you in the future: communicate it as soon as possible if something is not to your liking, so that you can come to a pleasant solution together. In this case we could have just given your money back and you could have stayed somewhere else.

Booked for 3 nights and drove away after 1 night with screeching tires. You have a lot of nuisance from the highway, these drive past 20 meters. The garden is full of rubbish and you have the feeling that you are camping in a waste dump garden. We were also told that we could easily put our long caravan away. This is anything but true. Both our car and caravan were damaged while parking and driving away.
How was the contact with the host?
Good
Tips for new guests?
If you are looking for a good night's sleep and if you are looking for a place where you can sit in front of your caravan, don't do it!
March 2022 · Translated from dutch
I am very sorry to hear that you had such a bad experience. I tried to indicate in the description that there is a highway next to it, but if I hear you like that, I didn't indicate it clearly enough. I will do something with that in the future.
We do not necessarily try to earn a lot of money, but above all to share a place with others that we find so beautiful ourselves, especially because we always look for a place for ourselves, without having 20 caravans and tents next to you and a place between the trees, where you can also make a nice fire, and you can do that with us.
I looked back in history for what I said about putting it away easily, see below after you said you would come with a fairly large caravan and ask if that would be possible:
Me: "Pretty big, what is quite big exactly? But I think it should work, there have also been particularly large campers. However, it is not the case that you can easily drive around. If you can uncouple the caravan and e.g. if you dare / want to push a bit manually, it should work. Until now, there has not been a single caravan or camper that did not fit."
If I read it that way, I'm not saying it's easy, but that I think it can. And that is true, the car/caravan combination you had was not the largest that has been on our site. It is very unfortunate that your car and caravan was damaged, I understand that you are very disappointed with that damage.

We keep the pruning wood in the garden as much as possible to provide a nice hiding place for the hedgehogs and other animals.
