About this campspace

Our farm campsite is located near the province of Groningen, Friesland and Drenthe. Our campspace offers camping space for 10 standing places. You are welcome with your tent, caravan or camper. If you are looking for a fully furnished camping accommodation, then you have come to the right place with us. And a private deck/terrace with relaxing chairs. Wake up in the morning with warm bread service in peace... We offer an extra service, a towel package, consisting of 2 bath towels and 2 towels for € 5, you can bring your own towels. Bicycle rental service, new bicycles with 7 gears, bicycle charging points available on site.
The campsite is located just outside the village of De Wilp and within walking distance of the corn maze. From the campsite you can see the provincial border marker from Groningen to Friesland. The provincial border of Drenthe is 10 kilometers away from the campsite.
There is grassland around the camping field, so that you can enjoy the roe deer, rabbits and other game that walk across the grassland in the twilight and early dew. From the jetty on the campsite, spotting is a pleasure.
In the immediate vicinity of the campsite you can enjoy walking and / or cycling on the various routes. There is the Kale Jonkerspad, the Witte Nonnenpad, Nanninga's forest, Landgoed de Slotplaats in Bakkeveen and the watchtower in Bakkenveen.
Fishing water at Jonkersvaart is only 900 meters away.
The village of Marum, which is 2 kilometers away, has various shops including two supermarkets, a LIDL and AH. The weekly market is on Friday afternoon.
You can go shopping in the bustling city of Groningen. The Herenstraat is a very popular shopping street. The city has a weekly market twice a week. Groningen is known for its cozy terraces and nice restaurants.

I spent more than 2 weeks at this campsite and it was heavenly. A wonderfully quiet place with birds and soft grass and a beautiful walking and cycling environment. Sanitary facilities are fine and clean. Fantastic view over the countryside (if the houses are not occupied you can sit on the platforms with a view).

We loved staying in Erik's trekkers hut! It was extremely clean and well-equipped and we had a great day reading and enjoying the tranquillity, followed by a great night's sleep. We particularly enjoyed bringing the stove out onto the terrace to cook our dinner in the sun. We had a beautiful view of the open field and were able to walk from our hut to relax in the tall grass.

There is a fridge on site and plenty of cooking utensils in the hut itself, so plan ingredients for a nice meal to eat on your patio! Keep your door closed when sitting on the patio so bugs don't get inside.
