Log cabin with large private camping meadow, in a quiet area on the river Waal.
About this campspace #s003626
** Winter facilities: campfire, hot water, hot shower, shelter, covered kitchen and heating in accommodation **
This comfortable and simple log cabin (camping / hiker's cabin) is located on a private piece of garden of approximately 150 x 80 meters. It is a grassland with fruit trees and enclosed by willows and hazel trees. It is wonderfully quiet and therefore unique because this part is private for the tenants of the log cabin. The log cabin (one room) has four beds (slatted base with mattresses). There is a small dining table with chairs. In addition, there is the possibility to cook simple meals and make coffee and tea on a two-burner stove. The space is heated with a pellet stove. There is a water tap next to the log cabin, and at 200 meters there is a communal area with 1 bathroom room specifically for the tenant (you do not share this with others). On request it is possible to place one or more tents next to the log cabin. In addition, a mini log cabin with one bed is also available. Bring your own sleeping bags / blankets and bed linen. Bed linen and linen are available for a fee.
You can take a beautiful walk in the vicinity of this nature house along the Waal and the Maas. There are available paths, but real strolling is also possible here. In some seasons (usually winter) the water can be higher and you can enjoy the water from the dike. This region is also very good for cycling and skating. You can cross both the Maas and the Waal at various places with pounds. There are also beautiful areas along the Maas where you can walk and it is very different from the Waal. In some areas you can walk past the cattle, beautiful castles or country houses, or just nature.
Within half an hour you are in Den Bosch, Nijmegen and Tiel by car. The village of Dreumel offers a supermarket, bakery, restaurant and takeaway pizzeria with pizzas from a wood oven.

Meet Geert & Barbara, your host
We like to share our place and find it important that everyone who comes here keeps calculations with each other. That way we can enjoy this beautiful place in nature together.
Lovely spot there in Dreumel. We stayed in the small log cabin with a pallet stove and beds on the floor. We did not need more; no luxury but comfort. The children baked pancakes and played around the sheep on the field, in the tree house and on the trampoline. It is a beautiful walk along the Waal and our campfire was burning from afternoon to evening. Very friendly managers who let us do our own thing (we didn't do anything strange 🙂).
In the summer (we were here in the winter) it would be nice if the sheep were a bit further away and we could use the field in front of the hut.

I thought it was a wonderful stay; fully equipped and you really had your own space. Fine contact in advance. Sophie thought along with us (we would arrive on racing bikes, they could be stored in the shed) and responded quickly. In addition, breakfast was a real treat, so it is definitely recommended!
Dogs are not allowed.
Smoking in the cottage is not allowed.
We take each other (our neighbors and other guests) into account, which also means that we create silence after 10 pm.
We treat the log cabin as you would at home with your belongings.
