About this campspace

At our farm campsite you can camp like in the old days. The pure nature camping experience where 'nothing is necessary and everything is possible'. At our farm campsite, we combine simplicity, nature and freedom with friendly and cheerful hospitality. Distributed over our entire site of more than 1.7 ha. we have 15 spacious camping spots: beautiful places with sun and a fantastic view, some sheltered spots with sun and shade and when the orchard is free, you have a fantastic place with a small tent. Find the most beautiful spot and place the tent and/or caravan as you prefer.
If you'd rather not have to worry about all kinds of stuff, but still want to enjoy the beautiful Groningen countryside, choose one of our covered wagons.

Or are you more of a glamping type - bed is ready and made, and no worries about a packed car? Then the straw igloo (part of the straw hotel) is a pleasant and adventurous solution.

In addition to a beautiful camping spot, you can make use of our range of activities. We work together with various locals and companies in the region. Feel free to ask about the possibilities.

We were received super friendly by Will and Hans and their dog and were given a tour of the cool grounds. There are 3 very nice straw igloos, the possibility to sleep in a covered wagon and there is a straw palace for groups and also a group room where, for example, weddings can be given with a straw dormitory on the 2nd floor. You can also set up your own tent.
There is a nice clean toilet/shower block and an inside kitchenette. In addition, it is also possible to rent a private shower/toilet cubicle that are painted in bright colors and are reminiscent of beach huts. For the kids there is a trampoline and a playground.
A covered area with picnic tables where you can sit

I also understood that sheepherding courses can be followed.
The straw igloo is wonderfully cozy and fully equipped. Fridge, games, plates, cutlery etc. And there are 2-person igloos and a 4-person igloo.
The area is wonderfully serene and quiet in the countryside and seems to be in the middle of no where .. But is actually close to small nice villages such as Garnwerd and Zuidhorn but also close to Groningen city.
As a cherry on the cake, Wil can also provide a delicious picnic basket full of fine breakfast stuff
