Great place to stay, nice view from the place where we stood. Due to the weather conditions we were given a place on the maisplaat (concrete surface) in front of the house. Plumbing is fine for the summer. In this period of the year it was hard in the unheated sanitary building.

How was the contact with the host?
Very friendly welcome, you can walk around and look everywhere. You are a guest at a dairy farm and that makes this campspace so fun and special.

Tips for new guests?
Visit Schokland and Urk.

A very nice place to stay for a few nights, we felt very welcome. Plumbing self-built and fine, and how nice that there is a kettle!
The children also had a good time: picking fruit, jumping on the trampoline, swinging and taking a look inside at the cows. Even swimming would have been possible, but it was just too chilly for that.

How was the contact with the host?
Very friendly contact, quick response to emails and clear explanation about the location of the campspace.

Tips for new guests?
There are some mosquitoes, bring anti-mosquito.

Wonderfully nice and quiet camping spot. The swimming pond was a big plus during the sunny days! Nice base for a visit to the atmospheric city of Kampen or a bike ride through the polder.

How was the contact with the host?
Jacoline and Jan are hospitable and enjoy the peace and space just like their guests.

Tips for new guests?
Be aware of mosquitoes because of the water that runs along the yard.

My husband was already there for one night and we stayed together a second night. We were the only ones. So wonderfully quiet. Nicely located place

How was the contact with the host?
Fine, just spoke to Jan who told me where it would be best to place the car. Also made a completely new booking through the campsite, it was not possible to book as a 2nd person through the campsite, after a previous booking had already been made.

Tips for new guests?
Nice to come here with a bike and tent, beautiful cycling area.

A lovely place for those seeking tranquility. A neat and spotless toilet block. A beautiful view.

How was the contact with the host?
Very friendly and hospitable people who like to talk about their beautiful company. †

Tips for new guests?
Make use of the farmer's pool that farmer Jan dug himself. And in nearby Ens you can buy plenty of food products directly from the farmers. So much tastier than from the supermarket. And this way you can help the farmers a little extra.

Scout Miranda About the scout program

Tell us about your experience
Nice campspace, quiet and in a beautiful environment. Beautiful large garden with beautiful fruit and nut trees to pitch your tent. There is a sheltered area where you can sit if it rains. At the front of the site they have a wooden house where you can make tea or coffee and buy a juice or snack.
They are in the process of building a small swimming pool for the guests. This one is almost ready and a nice addition for the coming summer months.
This campspace is also very suitable to go with children.

How was the contact with the host?
The host responds quickly to questions. They are easily accessible and very hospitable.

Tips for new guests?
The campspace is on the grounds of a dairy farm. In consultation with the host, it is possible to take a look at the farm. If you walk along the meadow, there is a chance that the cows will come and have a look. In the vicinity it is nice to walk or cycle. Within half an hour you can reach the beautiful town of Emmeloord or the Unesco World Heritage area of Schokland by car. There is also a museum of the original Schokland island with beautiful art and play elements for children.
