With your Tent
At this campspace you go completely back to basics, just a spot on the meadow! Yet you are close to nice cities such as Kortrijk, Tournai or Lille, you can hop on your bike for a visit to the Omer brewery. The ideal stopover on your cycling adventure, on the way to France, or your base for cycling trips to Kluisbergen, Heuvelland, Ypres, ...
Quietly ago on a meadow in the quiet village of Rollegem, you have this place all to yourself or your friends. You share it with .. two sheep! Certainly in their own piece. The 2000m² meadow is undeveloped land, located between a few houses and the fields. The meadow is not accessible for cars or campers due to a slope, and therefore only accessible for tents. You can park your car in one of the two places next to it. There is also ample space for dry storage of bicycles and carts. You can make a fire in a fire bowl, but it is best to bring your own wood. There is no running water or electricity but water is available (at the tap at my house or in water bottles), and there is a dry toilet in the stable! A small minus is the proximity of a large French fries factory. I would be happy to give you more information about the region or the to do's in the area!

Staying at Ellen's Campspace was amazing and would go again any time! The meadow offers plenty of outdoor space and privacy as it is surrounded by beautiful nature. I was intrigued by the view that the hillside offers. During my stay I made use of the dry-toilet and other supplies. I was also able to make a campfire in the evening while stargazing, it was the perfect stay!

Ellen's is very friendly and helpful. She has welcomed me a smile and some warm tea. Her passion for outdoors and travels reflect in the Campspace. She has also given me directions to a local Bio store that had everything available. Thank you Ellen for hosting me! †

We had a nice night on this big meadow. Ellen's description of the site is absolutely correct so you know what you're getting. An important addition is that Ellen is the perfect hostess, who quickly senses what you need. Recommended!

After a long bike ride with the son and a visit to the Omer brewery, this was a great place to recuperate next to great company, the two sheep.

It doesn't seem like the most logical place to pitch your tent, but once you do, you won't regret it. Great place for one night with very nice company of the two sheep.
How was the contact with the host?
Ellen is really super nice and very very easy going. She makes you feel very welcome!
Tips for new guests?
Take a look 'through' the industrial view and the less attractive street. Set up a nice tent, talk to the sheep and make a nice campfire!

The meadow has been laid out with regional planting material, and has not been "irrigated" in the last 10 years :-)
Guests who cancel at least 3 days before check-in date will receive a refund of the amount paid by them (excl. Campspace fees). Otherwise they will not be refunded.
Enjoy the peace and nature!
However, please be quiet after 10:30 pm so the neighborhood can sleep. Don't leave any waste.
Pets are very welcome but keep them on your property, the other gardens are open to the public. In case of extreme drought, it is better not to start a fire, to avoid the fire hazard. Have fun!
